Chapter 3- Rainbow Slushies & Roses

As soon as we got home, I went up to my room, turned some music on and laid on my bed. I still can't believe what happened today. Despite my wrist killing, it was awesome!!

I was tapping my fingers along to "Oxygen" when my phone stared ringing and scared the living crap out of me.

"Hollaa!!" I answered thinking it was Kayleigh. But after I heard a hysteric laugh from the other side I had an idea and out on a deep voice "um this is Skylar's brother Adam, here Skylar"

"Okay" Ross was still laughing.

"Hello!" I came back to my normal voice.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Aww, he cares!! Possibly because he broke it.

"It hurts but they said its normal" I replied "My cast is completely full now-hold up, hold up"

"Woah there" he said and we both laughed "What's up?"

"How did you get my number?" I asked him.

"Madison gave it to me, anyway, would you like to hang out tomorrow, get something to eat?"

"I'd love to"

"Great, shall I meet you at ummm, the beach?"

"Yeah, we'll I gotta go" I said "Oh and I love your eyes too"

He laughed a little then hung up. I'm now entering fan girl mode.

*The Next Day*

I put on a floral printed loose crop top with some beige shorts and light pink converse, put on my glasses and checked my hair. Beach waves-nice!

I went downstairs, had some breakfast and after bushing my teeth I went into my car and was off to the beach. I could easily notice Ross laying fast asleep on a beach chair with his wetsuit on and a bucket of water by him which was once ice I believe. It was almost like everything was planned.

I picked up the bucket of ice cold water and tipped it over his head. He had a little spasm and fell off the chair but eventually started laughing.

"Sorry it was so tempting" I laughed at his state.

"It's okay, sort of payback I guess" he got up.

"I've told you, it's ok" I insisted.

"Well in that very case...." He spread his arms our and embraced me in a freezing cold hug. Refreshing but cold.

"I hate you" I slapped his arm playfully before I sat down "Been surfing?"

"Yup, do you surf?" He asked me and I nodded "Nice, anyway, I'm gonna go and get changed, back in a second"

"Alright" I nodded and he was off. He does look pretty cute in that wetsuit I must admit.

It took him 30 to change but I didn't care. This lady came over and angrily snatched the beach chair I was sitting on.

"Is the chair yours?" I asked Ross once he was back.

"No" He laughed "Let's go, do you have your car with you?"

"Yeah"

"You won't need it"

We got in his car and drove downtown to the South Coast Plaza and I was left gob smacked at how big it is.

"Shall we go in here first?" Ross asked as he pointed to Forever 21, I simply nodded and followed him. Never knew boys liked shopping.

I was looking at this really nice baby blue skater dress and some black platform plimsolls.

"Try them on, I pay" he said and I shook my head. Eventually I gave in and bought quite a lot. After that we went and bought some rainbow Slushies.

"You buy less than any girl I've ever met" Ross laughed.

"I know, you're really fun to hang with" I leaned on his shoulder.

"Thanks, but we're not finished just yet" he leaned over this plantation of roses in the mall and took one before fixing it in my hair "Follow me".
