Chapter 3
Nadine turns to look at Cheryl “Come on” She says pulling the Geordie up the beach some more
As they continue walking Cheryl sees some rock caves “Lets go inside them caves” She says tugging Nadine’s hand towards the caves
As they get to the caves and take a look inside they can see a pool of water going right through one, it’s not even dark inside. Nadine stops walking causing Cheryl to stop.
“You ok?” The Geordie asks concerned
“I’m fine I just don’t really want to go through it”
“Come on Nadz. You’re safe with me” Cheryl says trying to comfort the girl “I’ll hold your hand all the way”
Nadine sighs and slowly starts edging her way into the cave and through the water “It’s freezing”
Cheryl laughs “What did you expect? There’s no sun shining on it”
As they keep walking the water is getting deeper and Nadine is getting even more scared “Chez can we turn back now”
Cheryl smiles warmly at the Irish girl “We’re nearly at the exit. Come on babe”
Nadine continues walking gripping onto Cheryl’s hand with both of hers “You owe me big time for this”
“Ok” Cheryl laughs “and in what form will I owe you” She giggles at Nadine’s blush
“Shut up you” Nadine shakes her head and speeds their walking up “You have a one track mind”
They are now up to their waists in water. As they keep walking they see a hole in the top of the cave and the sun shining down on to some of the water. They walk towards it and stand in the water.
“It’s so warm” Nadine says happily trying to warm herself up
Cheryl smiles and stands facing Nadine “I could stay here all day, it’s so beautiful” Her voice echo’s slightly against the rocks
Nadine smiles as she looks around “I can’t believe you got me in here”
“Wasn’t that hard” Cheryl smiles watching as Nadine looks around
Looking back at Cheryl, Nadine smiles “Let’s find that exit”
“Ok” Cheryl says taking Nadine’s hand and leading her out of the caves.
As they walk back to the sun loungers, Kimberley is the only one there “You two have been gone for hours. Have fun?”
“Yeah we went in a few caves” Cheryl replies “Where’s Sarah and Nic?”
“Gone back to the house for more booze” Kim says getting up “I’m gonna head back now”
“We’re come with” Nadine says linking arms with Kimberley
Cheryl walks next to Nadine and links arms with the girls
When they get back to the house they can hear music blaring and giggling coming from inside.
Nadine opens her door and walks in to see Nicola and Sarah dancing away drinking cocktails.
Kimberley and Cheryl follow behind and laugh when they see the two girls dancing. Cheryl walks up to the girls and joins in the dancing and giggling
Nadine and Kim both walk out to the kitchen laughing.
“Nutters” Nadine smiles whilst making herself and Kim a cocktail
“How did the walk with Cheryl go then?” Kimberley asks smiling
“It was fun” Nadine replies giving Kim her cocktail
“Thanks” The older girl takes a sip and smiles “Just fun?”
“I enjoyed myself”
“Did you two…” Kimberley let her sentence linger in the air waiting for Nadine to reply
The Irish girl takes a sip of her drink before replying “I’m not gay”
“Neither is Cheryl”
“But she loves me”
“You’re the only woman she has ever loved. It’s just you Nadz” Kimberley smiles warmly
“It’s a bit weird” Nadine looks down “I like men. It’s weird having one of your best friends falling in love with you”
“I know, but if you don’t want to be with her, let her down as gently as possible”
“I’m trying, but she keeps flirting with me” Nadine shakes her head
“She’s working her Geordie charm on you” Kim laughs as she stands up and exits the kitchen.
It’s 10:30, Nicola and Sarah have gone out clubbing. Kimberley, Nadine and Cheryl are outside in the garden drinking wine and chatting.
“Those two are drinking machines” Cheryl smiles sipping her wine
“I have no idea how they do it” Kim says standing up “I’m gonna go have an early night” she winks at Cheryl “See you love birds in the morning” she laughs as she walks off.
Cheryl chuckles and shakes her head “More wine?” She asks as she tops up her own glass
“No thanks” Nadine replies “I don’t want to over do it tonight. Need to be at my best for tomorrows clubbing”
“Fair enough” Cheryl says as she sips her wine “Wanna go for a swim in your pool?”
“It’s half 10!” Nadine says confused
“So…?”
“Are you serious?”
“Of course” Cheryl gets up off her chair and goes inside, 5 minutes later she comes out in her bikini and jumps into the pool “You coming?” She shouts when she has swam to the surface.
Nadine just sits there opened mouthed
“Don’t be a wimp Nadz” Cheryl snickers
Rolling her eyes Nadine walks into the house “I’m not a wimp” She shouts. A while later she comes back out in her bikini and with two towels, she places the towers on the table and then walks up to the pool. She sits down on the side with her feet dangling in the water “You’re crazy” Nadine laughs
“You coming in all the way or do I have to drag you in” Cheryl says swimming up to Nadine
“You wouldn’t dare” Nadine says getting a bit nervous. Just as she’s about to stand up and walk away from the pool, Cheryl grabs the Irish girl’s ankles.
“Last chance” Cheryl giggles whilst gently tugging on her ankles
“Fine” Nadine says gently lowering herself into the pool “The things you make me do”
“It’s because of me Geordie charm” Cheryl laughs taking Nadine’s hands and pulling her out into the middle of the pool “It’s so warm in here”
“The wonders of a heated pool” Nadine smiles
Cheryl looks deeply into Nadine’s eyes still holding onto both of her hands. She brings her hand up and gently strokes Nadine’s cheek.
“Cheryl” Nadine whispers
“Yeah?” Cheryl says whilst bringing her other hand up to Nadine’s other cheek
“Stop” The Irish girl whispers
Cheryl pulls her hands away and places them around Nadine’s waist “I love you”
“I know”
“I want you”
“Cheryl” Nadine tries to get the girl to stop
Once again Cheryl brings her hand up to Nadine’s cheek. She leans in slowly and places a gentle kiss on the Irish girl’s lips. Pulling away she looks into the girls eyes.
“I need you” The Geordie whispers
