"Hey, Emma you look tense today is everything alright with you." Charlie asked when she entered her small cabin and looked at her tense form.

"No, everything is perfect," Emma laughed it off. But inside she was a nervous wreck.

Today is going to be first day since that fateful kiss when she have to face Adian. She also didn't know what is happening in the meeting.

"Oh, you looked a bit anxious, so I thought something might be wrong. Anyways is Adian in, I have to get these files signed by him today." Charlie said with a hopeful look.

"He's not in yet but leave these files with me and I will get them signed before 4:00." She said with a reassuring smile.

"Thanks a lot, you are a life saver. See you at lunch " with that Charlie left the room and Emma with her anxious thoughts of Adian.

Emma was fiddling with her fingers while staring at the computer screen, lost in her turmoil thoughts. Lunch hour has gone by, yet there was no sign of Adian.

God, how am I going to face him, will there be awkwardness, should I act as if the kiss never happened. These thoughts were running around in her head over and over again.

Adian entered his office and found her staring at the computer screen, as if it will solve all the issues in life. This is going to be first time since that passionate kiss which he can't seem to forget.

He went upto her desk and cleared his throat, which startled Emma and jarred her back from her thoughts.

"Oh, I am sorry. I didn't realise you came. How did the meeting go?" She asked him anxiously.

"We'll talk about it later in depth but before that I want to introduce you to my partner."

Emma looked up and was astonished to see the looming presence behind him.

"It's good to see you again Em" Ethan said equally shocked to see her here

"Hi Eth I didn't know that you are the other partner in this deal"

"Oh I can bet." Ethan said with some amusement once he came over his shock.

"Hold on, you both know each other. Why didn't you say anything Eth when I told you her name." asked Adian sounding a bit perplexed.

"Oh I would have definitely said something if I knew you were talking about Ms. Emma Kotler" Ethan replied while giving a hard stare to Emma when he said Kotler, "She used to be my intern, now I know why you were singing such high praise about her. She is truly brilliant at work and I was sorry to let her go"

"Well alright let's talk about the meeting in my office"

Adian entered his office without giving any thought to the coincidence that Emma and Eth knew each other. Behind him Ethan was glaring at Emma and she was trying to shut him up with her eyes.

Ethan didn't say anything about the topic and moved on to the meeting with James. They discussed what James wanted and how much more can they negotiate with him without irking him much.

In the meantime Emma took Adian's signature on Charlie's flies and send it to her before four.

When the discussion came to an end Ethan decided to take them both for dinner. But he was itching to take Emma alone and ask her what was going with her.

They reached the parking lot and Adian realised he left his phone in his office and went back to take it.

Ethan finally got his chance to get his answers from Emma.

"What the fuck are you playing at. Do you even know what you are doing" he asked her furiously.

Emma has known that Eth was bidding his time before he pounced on her. She was prepared to face him, now that her shock wore off after seeing him.

"I don't know what do you mean. I am just doing my job Eth"

"Don't play with me Em, I know you better than that. Does Adian know the truth about you, if not then God save you. He can accept anything but not lies. Rest is your choice do what ever the hell you want to do"

This left Emma to digest her situation but she didn't think it would matter that much. They both didn't speak much after it and went for dinner in a near by place.

They had light hearted talk at dinner, while Adian was in a dilemma when he should ask Emma out. Will she go out with him. They didn't have any employee relationship issues in office, anyone can have a relationship with their colleague.

Now all he has to do is find the right time and opportunity to ask her out.
