Chapter 15

I gulped down the lump in my throat.

"It's okay." I said.

Ash stared at me, confused.

"How can you say that? What he said, and it's okay?" He asked.

I bit my lip tears welling up in my eyes.

"Ash please, can't we just go?" I asked.

"I'll meet you in the car." He said. I rolled my eyes and sighed as I picked up my bag and trudged my feet towards the truck.

Ash's P.O.V

"How?" I asked.

"What?" Andrew looked at me.

"How did you know?" I asked.

He sighed.

"The night when we had that whole dinner disaster, I saw you leave. I thought you were just going to sneak out of the house to go to some party or something. I was going to, umm." He trailed off.

I raised my eyebrows.

"What?" I snapped.

"I was going to blackmail you. But you didn't go to a party you went to Bree's room. I was just curious. So I listened. I didn't tell anyone." He reassured me.

I clenched teeth.

"Is that supposed to make things better? You saw her this morning. And you knew exactly what she was screaming about, but you laughed with the rest of us, thinking it was just a joke." I said.

The rest of the boys cleared out, realizing that this wasn't going to turn into anything good.

"Ash, I'm sorry. It was a mistake." He said.

"Hell ya it was. Why did you do it? You listened in on our conversation, so you knew how horrible she felt. What made you want to hurt her even more?" I asked.

He looked away.

"Andrew!" I screamed.

"I saw how she was with John okay! She acted as if everything was fine, I wanted her to hurt as much as I did." He said.

I stepped forward towards him.

"You little bitch." I said before I niches him in the face.

Bree's P.O.V

"Hey are you okay?" Seth said.

I looked up from my locker. "I'm fine."

Seth and I hadn't talked since the kiss. I wasn't how to talk to him.

"What was on the note that was so horrible?" He asked.

"It was nothing, I overreacted." I said closing my locker and walking away. He grabbed my wrist.

"Bree, that wasn't nothing. We all saw how you reacted. What was it?" He asked.

"Seth, just please let it go." I said.

Down the hall I saw Ash, he nodded at me and smiled.

"Seth please, I have to go." I said tugging my arm away.

"Bree, what is up with you two. He's acting all protective over you. It's weird. And what are you hiding? Why can't you tell me about the note?" He asked.

"Because it's to hard for me okay? Can't you just understand, please. You were worried about Ash hurting me, when all he does is help. The reality is because you just won't let it go, your the one hurting me. Now please, I have to go." I said walking away.

"What was that all about?" Ash asked.

"Seth is catching on." I said.

"What are you going to do?" He asked.

I sighed, "I don't think he'll bother be anymore." I said.

He laughed. "Do I want to know?" He asked.

"It wasn't that bad, in not you remember." I smirked.

He rolled his eyes.

"Come with me." He said.

I raised my eyebrows.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"It's a surprise, but trust me, you'll love it." He said.
