"(Y/n), wait! It was only a dare!" I cried at the (h/c) girl who was running for the door.

"No. I'm done, Craig. We're done," the girl, (y/n), said, as she slammed the door shut.

"Thank you all for coming to the dance!" The pianist, Neraine, said into the microphone. Cheers echoed through the gymnasium. It was currently a dance, and Neraine's little band had been performing a few songs.

"Okay, so our next song... Huh, we don't have a next song," Neraine continues, frowning.

"How about someone request us a song to play, eh?" Rina, the lead vocalist, recommended.

"Did you hear that students?" Chants of yes rang out into the air.

"We'll pick one of you to request us a sing to play. So raise your hand up high, or try to catch our attention, OK?" Paisley, the guitarist, directed. Soon, the gym became the loudest it could be, as students started flailing their arms and making noise to get the band's attention.

"Let's see," Neraine taunted, putting her hand into her forehead, to make it look like she was looking for someone. Then she spotted a girl in a (f/c) sweater and beanie to match.

"You with (f/c) beanie! Come up here to the stage, and request us a song," Neraine said, as she pointed at said figure. The girl had jumped at the description of her beanie, but waved it off as a calling to someone else. However, a spotlight shined over the girl, and the crowd carried her to the front.

"You are (y/n), right?" Paisley asked, as Rina picked up the girl and led her to the stage.

"Yes," (y/n) quietly murmured, not looking up to face the three band girls in front of her.

"Well, (y/n), you have been specially chosen to tell us what song we should play next. Usually, we have a set playlist, but looks like we still have extra time for one more song," Rina explained.

"So what song would you like to have us play, (y/n)?" Neraine asked with hopeful eyes. (Y/n) tucked a few of her (h/c) locks behind her beanie, and made a thinking pose.

"How about Stitches by Shawn Mendes?" (Y/n) answered.

"That's a great idea, (y/n)! We all know that song and I won't need to use the keyboard," Neraine said, happily.

"Did you hear that? (Y/n) here has told us to play Stitches by Shawn Mendes!" The crowd cheered. Although, there were a few boos heard.

"You can get off the stage if you want, (y/n)," Rina whispered to said girl, who started blushing. (Y/n) got off the stage with the help of some of the audience. Soon, all three band girls crowded around the mic Rina was using. Paisley held onto her acoustic guitar.

As the spotlight dimmed and focused in the three girls, everyone in the gym had quieted down. Soon, the beginning strums of the song were heard.

(Y/n) smiled silently to herself. Karma's a bitch isn't it. . . Craig.

The boy with the blue chullo hat started nervously sweating. First of all, it was (y/n). He hadn't meant to break her heart with the dare from a few weeks ago. He hadn't meant it. But she took no excuses. What happened had happened and now we have a depressed Craig. Then again, you wouldn't notice it since he isn't fond of expressing his emotions.
