hi alen. my dad left me and my mum when I was five, he would constantly beat her up and when sge refused to allow him to marry another woman hd left with his new wife and our money. sometimes I feel as if im not worth anything. he left me and disowned me a few months ago because of a fight with my mum. my step dad constantly puts me down calling me stupid and it hurts so much. Let me tell you a little story about my life:
I grew up with only my dad by my side. My mom left me a month after I was born. I saw it as her not wanting me. She stayed when two of my brothers were born, why couldn't she stay when I was born. I know how hard your situation is. Since my dad died, I was left with my grandmother - and I'm telling you, she puts me down and hates me with her guts.
Use your stepdad's words to motivate to do better. Don't use it to make you look better just so you can please him. Who is he, anyway? He isn't your blood; he doesn't have the right to treat you the way he does, nor does he even deserve to see the best in you. Your mom, she loves you. Be strong for yourself, and for her. I know how hard it must be because we like to hold on to hurtful words, sometimes, even if we don't like, it just happens.
You just have to remember that whatever is happening to you right now will fade sometime soon. It's not going to continue this way forever. That's what I'm holding onto, and so far, I'm surviving and yes it's hard - but if I can do it, so can you.
You're strong and you're loved, remember that.
