She had fallen asleep beside him, wearing his silk robe. She was still untouched, for he wouldn't do what she wasn't ready for. He watched the rise and fall of her chest, she seemed at peace in sleep. The moon was bright, it placed a soft glow in the room. He sat up, his hair falling in his face. He ran his hand through her hair. When she stirred he froze, fearing he had awoken her. He resumed when she sighed in her sleep. He wondered if she despised him, it would make sense if she did. For with out her consent she was married to him. It was a honor to be married to the emperor, many girls had dreamed to be in her place, but it was her. The Zhang daughter which Hong had talked so much about her. Even then she intrigued him, as she had in person. The moment he meet her, he knew that she did not like him. She didn't cry like he thought the shelter child of Hong and Mei would. But she didn't, she only smiled and said, It would be a honor my lord. He leaned close to her face, holding his breath. He counted her long eyelashes, her eyes moved under her eyelids he sat back up. His heart raced, she was about to awake. "Delun." She mummer in her sleep.
She turned her head, in her sleep, frowning. She had called out to him, it was him that ran in her dreams. He smiled, he was in her dreams as she was in his. He placed a light kiss were her hair and forehead meet before crawling out of bed. His eyes looked around the room, searching to make sure no one unwanted was in there, searching for Han. He knew Han was somewhere in the palace, he didn't want him to be in the same room as her. When satisfied, Delun left the room.
She bolted up out of bed, sweat rolled down her face. She was alone in Delun's room. She placed her hand over her heart, trying to calm herself. She knew it was only a dream, but she couldn't help but feel betrayed. She looked around the room, she climb out of the bed. She wondered where Delun had gone. The image of Delun in her dreams bothered her. The blood that drenched everything, Delun standing over a body. Ai shuddered as the door opened. Her heart raced when she saw Delun. "My lord."
He stared at her, confused. "Ai, your awake." Her heart was beating wildly. "Are you not feeling well?" He sat whatever was in his hand on the floor. She walked to him. In her dream Delun was a monster, but in the room he wasn't. He touched her forehead. "Your burning up!" She touched her sweaty forehead. She wasn't burning up to her. She was cool and clamy. "You must get back to bed!"
"I'm fine." She was feeling fine, she was shocked up by her nightmare.
"No your not. Get back in bed." He turned back to the door. "I will be back." He left her alone in the room. She stared at the door for a minute then she crawled back into bed.
