> Thinking Out Loud <

ALEX POV

Ashton grabs MY hand gently and helps me up. Since we forgot to turn the music of it was the end of a song when Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran started to play.

"When your legs don't work like they used to before....."

We start out slow swaying side to side we takes my hand and I spin out of our embrace. I stand there for a moment and ashton brought me back towards him, as he stood behind me he placed a soft kiss on my neck as we swayed to the beat out the music. I turned back to face him and we swayed and stood there in eachothers embrace. I set my head on his shoulder and just sat there in his muscular arm as he held me tight in his arms. Soon enough the song ended making the playlist stop as well. We just stood there in each others warm embrace. I could sense ashton didnt want to let go and neither did I. I raised my head to face him and pecked his cheek. I started to leave the embrace to be pulled back into it. He held on to me for an embrace and released me from our warm embrace. I walked up to the loft to change into something different so I could do the laundry.  "Hey, i'm going back to my place so i can clean my clothes and like clean up. " he said from the bottom of the stairs. "OKay i'll text you later." I said back. "Bye babe see you tomorrow." he said before I heard to door closed. I Picked up the clothes that I just took off and threw them into the basket with other clothes.

I started to load the washer and put the detergent in. I turned around to finish loading the dryer with the load I took out of the washer to put another load in. "WHERE ARE YOU?!" I hear a familiar voice yell. Dammit. I could hear her go up to my loft looking for me. I took that opportunity to sneak out and find something to defend myself with. She spotted me as she was coming back down the stairs. She was was yelling swear words most likely calling me names but I stood there not saying anything not moving an inch. As she inched closer I gripped on to my meat tenderizer. Thinking about it now wasn't the best weapon but I was closest to the kitchen and I don't nessecarily want to commit murder. I just want to hurt her enough so I can get away. She was almost two feet away from me when she sprinted towards me. I move out of the way and raise my leg as she ran in to my foot crashing to the ground. I get down next to her and hit her with the tenderizer. She yelps in pain but manages to flip me over and punch me several times in the face I lay there limp for a couple seconds playing dead. She stands up and starts to walk away I stand up as silently as I can and grab a knife from the block and I start walking towards her. She hears me and turns around when she notices me approaching her she grabs my wrist and I take the knife and cut a line into her fore arm she screams in pain and let's me free. I grab my bag and I head out the door and down to the garages and jump on my bike. I rev the engine as the beast came to life and sped out heading to the closest hotel.

I jump off and head inside the hotel to check in. The man behind the counter asks my information and puts me into the computer. He hands me my room key and I head straight to my room. I enter the room and break down into tears. I had to call Ashton and tell him at a hotel if he decides to go see me tomorrow. I unlock my phone and find his contact. It rings and rings but no answer "come on pick up." I talk into the phone waiting for him to pick up. It goes to voicemail. It goes through the automatic voice message then beeps. "Hey babe um it's Alex I'm I'm at the hotel a few blocks away from my apartment. Um my stepmonster came back and she's at my apartment don't worry about me okay? I'm okay a few bruises here and there but I'm fine call me back when you can." I click end and I start crying. I can't do it anymore I just can't do it. I walk over to my bad and get my razor I keep there for emergencies. I walk into the bathroom and start a hot bath and walk back over to the razor and break it to get the only thing I needed. The blades. Once I got one out the bath is ready. I climb in and start to think about the things she said. I lift up my wrists and start to cut into the skin. 1 cut, 2 cut, 3 cut, 4 cut and so on. Next wrist, 1 cut, 2 cut, 3 cut, 4 cut and so on. The thoughts keep flying around my mind maki no me cry more and more. I no longer have room on my wrists but I need to let the pain out. I move onto my thighs and I just keep cutting. I listen to the blood into the water making it red I slowly start to fall into darkness.

|Ashton's POV|

I walk out of my room and pick up my phone to see I have a missed call from Alex and that I have a voicemail.
"Hey babe um it's Alex I'm I'm at the hotel a few blocks away from my apartment. Um my stepmonster came back and she's at my apartment don't worry about me okay? I'm okay a few bruises here and there but I'm fine call me back when you can."
I end the voicemail and call her. It rings and rings but she doesn't answer. I start to worry that something bad happened that she may have hurt herself. I don't like to think about that. I grab a bag an fill it with clothes and a few extra shirts for Alex. I throw the bag over my back and head to my car and drive to the hotel she is staying at.

I park my car and walk into the hotel and head towards the reception desk. "What room is Alex Huc in?" I ask. He typed in her name and tells me her Room number and hands me a spare key. I run down the hall towards her room and push the key into the door. I enter the room and look around. "Alex?" I say looking around but no answer. I enter the bathroom and see a sight I hoped I would never see.

|Alex POV|

I feel a pair of strong hands pull my body out of the water. I look up to see the face of the person but it was to blurry. I was set on the bed and started to feel air enter my lungs. "Stay with me Alex. Come on wake up." I hear a familiar voice speak to me. I feel hands on my chest pumping my heart with his hands. I start to regain conciousness. I slowly open my eyes to see Ashton kneeling beside the bed with tears sliding down his cheeks. "I thought I lost you." He says. I don't speak I just sit there and look at him.

I wake up to Ashton varying me to the bathroom. "I'm going to clean your cuts." He says when I try to escape his grasp not realizing what was going on. " I-i can do it." I say quietly. He shakes his head. "You're to weak I already have the bath ready and some clothes." He says. I smile as he walks into the bathroom. "Plus I like taking care of you." He adds smiling setting me down. I put my hair up in a bun since I was already naked. I climb in and lay down. I enjoy the hot water on my skin start to feel Ashton lightly dabbing my wrists with a sponge he had brought with him. I see the bloody water flow out as he rings out the sponge. He gets finished with my wrists and moves down to my thighs and starts to dab the sponge onto the cuts that resided on my thighs. He soon finishes and I get out and wrap myself in a towel. I stand there drying myself off and Ashton hands me one of his shirts. I pull the shirt over my head and head back the bed and climb in Ashton follows behind me and I start to fall into a deep sleep.
