I woke up at around nine today, Atlanta time, to text Anna about changing my flight. I knew she'd be up, it's her job to be up before her boss so she's ready to do whatever he needs her to. It's a very demanding job, especially when Chris is on tour and needs her to do more than she normally would. It almost made me feel bad about asking her to help me, since she isn't my assistant, but she was very willing to help and keep my location a secret from Chris.
She had no problems switching my flight to one for today, mainly because she used Chris' account to pay whatever costs they charged and I didn't have one problem with that since he's both the reason I'm here in the first place and the reason I'm leaving. I had just showered and was putting my hair into a braid on the right side of my head since I didn't feel like dealing with it today. I was wearing a white tank under the black hoodie I wore, the words "people are poison" written on the sleeve and I had on a pair of dark jeans with it. I wanted to wear some sweats but the only pair I brought doesn't fit around my waist as well anymore, thanks to my ex.
I checked all around my hotel room, making sure I wasn't leaving anything behind. I wouldn't be leaving for another thirty minutes or so, but I didn't like to rush so I wanted everything to be ready now. After grabbing my charger out of the plug on the wall next to the bed and stuffing it into my carry on, there was a knock on the door. I walked towards it, figuring it was the cleaning lady coming to straighten up the room or see if I needed anything, but when I looked through the little peephole and saw a BAPE snapback I knew I was dead wrong.
I rolled my eyes once Chris lifted his head and confirmed that it was him on the other side of the door. I backed away from the door and just stood there. I didn't want to open it, I didn't want to talk to him or even look at him honestly, but I know Chris and if I didn't open the door he'd stay until I did and make me miss my flight.
"Open the door, Ivy. I know you're in there because I made Anna tell me." he said. I didn't say a word or let it be known that I could hear everything he was saying. Even though I knew how Chris was I still had an ounce of hope that he'd give up and leave.
"You know I'll stay out here all night and make you miss your flight, Ivy. I don't have a show so I got all night, it's whatever you want to do." he spoke through the door. I found myself rolling my eyes again before sighing. I took a step towards the door and turned the handle, opening it to let Chris in. I didn't look at him when he walked in, shutting the door behind him. When I finally looked up he stood not too far from me and had turned around to face me.
"I know you don't want to see me right now, but I'm just asking for a couple of minutes. I just want to talk to you."
"How'd you get Anna to tell you where I was?" I asked him, disregarding everything he just said.
"I told her I was going to fire her if she didn't, but I'd never really do it." he replied, like it was nothing. I looked at him for a couple of seconds before letting out a bitter laugh and shaking my head.
"You can be really selfish sometimes, you know that? You can't just play with people so you can have whatever you want. People have feelings and lives that don't revolve around your wants or needs." I've always known Chris to be a very loving and caring person. He's always giving, always trying to make sure everyone is doing well and is happy, but his actions lately have shown the exact opposite. Of course he has selfish moments, we all do, but he seems way more selfish and inconsiderate than ever and I didn't like it all. Especially when I'm the person being hurt by it.
"Can you please just let me talk, Ivy?"
"Yeah, go ahead. You can talk all you want, but what are you really going to say? That it was a mistake? That you'll never do it again? Because if that's all then you can take your tired lines and leave." I told him, crossing my arms afterwards. Every word that was about to leave his mouth would be predictable and I honestly didn't want to hear any of them.
