Chapter four

Y/n's POV-
{Friday}

School had been normal, besides the fact all the new 'kids' had been watching me. Every class seemed like I had a new kid in it, they just sat, watching me. Making sure I don't make a wrong move. I couldn't help feel watched at home too. Levi comes to visit me a couple times, she would usually help me control my wings. Tuesday in gym, I had taken off the necklace for a shower, my wings sprung out. Luckily Levi was there.

Now, here I was, running in gym class next to Lilith. Everyone jogged passed us. The new kids, even after thirty minutes, were still running with ease not breaking a sweat.

"New kids seem odd, don't you think?" Lilith asked me. She was jogging and pulling up her red hair in a horrible ponytail at the same time.

"No," I say, worried they will hear me. "they are cool people." I smile at myself.

"But that one kid, BEN, he spells his name in all caps. And not to mention he wears shades inside!" She raised her hands. "It makes you look like a douche!"

"What about blind people?" I retorted. "They have to wear shades...something of the sorts."

"They are an exception." She pointed at BEN. "But that's not."

"What if he's blind?"

"He's not! But I'm pretty sure that Jack kid is though..."

"Hustle, Hustle! Move it!" Yelled the coach, blowing her whistle. "And good job Jeffery!" She cooed.

I rolled my eyes and sped up, Lilith trailing behind me. "Speaking of Jeff..." She wiggled her eyebrows and I couldn't help but giggle.

After PE, we took showers. I left my necklace on this time. Changing out of my gym uniform, I put on a black t shirt, f/c skinny jeans, and sneakers. I grabbed my backpack and left to my next class.

Time skip to lunch~

I sat at my usual table with Jason, BEN, Levi, and Jeff. Lilith didn't feel safe around them so she hung out with her other group of friends.

"Hey Y/n!" Levi smiled. BEN waved and adjusted his shades. Jason played with the zipper of his hoodie and Jeff moved his black scarf over his mouth a little more.

"Hi guys." I half smiled back. "So whats going on?" I asked.

"A little change of plans..." Jason says picking his golden painted nails.

"What?" I asked.

"We're gonna do training a little early..." Said BEN. "Like...two months early."

"WHAT!" I slammed my hands on the table earning the attention of other students and some staff. Glaring daggers at some students I sat down.

"It's because the war is coming sooner than we thought." Levi said seriously.

"How soon?" I asked.

"Next month." Jeff answered.

"what!" I shouted. "I have a month to learn to fly AND fight!" I pulled at my hair in frustration.

"It won't be as bad as you think," Levi added. "Just we leave today and-"

"Today?! My parents will kill me if I leave school two months early!"

"If they do kill you, I'll help!"

"Jeff!" Yelled Levi.

I walked home with Levi and Jeff in tow. "So what am I supposed to tell them?" I asked, fiddling with my necklace.
