Chapter eight

Y/n's POV~
{Monday, 3 days til war}

Flying/Fighting Teacher- Malcom

"You have been improving on your flying so well, I have asked Lady Bloody if we could fight and fly." Malcom says.

I nod and summon my wings like I did on the first day, not ripping anything.

"Now, we are gonna fly and do combat. They also have and angel on their side. A couple actually. You're gonna need this skill." He takes off his right glove and puts it in his pocket.
"Now, we fight, Begin!"

He flys up leaving me in the dust. I fly upwards chasing after him. Thrusting my hand outward a ball of fire shoots at him and he dodges. I haven't mastered the fire bolt, but it only takes a minute to summon it.

He flies around dodging my attacks. He suddenly snaps around and shoots me with lightning bolt. I use a protection shield to block it, but when the bolt his the shield it shattered instantly.

"You're getting quicker, Lady Y/n." Said Malcom as he dodged my attack and sent out one of his own. "But not fast enough." His hand shot outward and fire shot straight towards me. I didn't have time to move so I covered myself with and protection spell but it was still very weak and took most of my strength to keep up. Once the bolt hits the shield, it smashed and sends me crashing to the ground.

Fighting teacher- Levi

"Today, class, we're going on a field trip!" Levi cheered.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

She put her hands on her hips and smiled. "We're going to Pinkamena's Cupcake Shop!" She said. "I'll make sure there is no human bits in ours."

At the shop~

Me and Levi sat down in at a booth. The table was white and the chairs were very bright pink. I the table were ketchup packets, sugar packets and other sauces. Pinkamena came out with two menus and handed us one.

After a while of deciding I chose the rainbow dash surprise, without the human and other flesh bits. Levi got a sweet tea.

When Pinkamena left, Levi turned to me. Her face serious. "War is closing in sooner than me thought." She said. "Instead of three weeks we have three days. So today training won't be taking place. We need to make battle plans with Bloody Hatter today."

I nodded. Pinkamena walked over with our cupcakes and Levi's sweet tea, but I had lost my appetite. Just kidding. I scarfed that cupcake down.

"We need to get you armor, you have been doing well with hand-to-hand combat. And you've been improving on magic. But you are gonna use a blade for now. It probably won't be permanent." She says.

"We'll go to the armory at Bloody's and get you a blade. We have something perfect for your skills."

I nodded. After Levi ate we left to get to Bloody's. When we arrived in her office, it seemed darker. On her table was a map of im guessing the forest. Around it was Jeff, Puppeteer, Bloody, and Malcom.

"Hey Bloody, I'm gonna take y/n to get her weapon." Said Levi. Bloody just nodded, she was planning out attack formations with Malcom.

We walked through the maze of halls and went into the basement. The basement was stocked with all kinds of weapons. Levi went over to a pair or blue and purple claw like things (picture). She picked them up and handed them to me. Slipping them on, the blades disappeared. "Just thrust your hand out when you need them."

We went back upstairs Bloody was telling everyone what was gonna happen.

"They have at leases 40 pastas. More than us. What we are gonna do is split up into 10 groups of two. We need the groups to circle the perimeter of the town. They will most likely come in any direction. Y/n and Malcom will take the skies and be look out and will also fight off pastas in the sky. If they see something before anyone they will use a signal, Malcom knows it. But if grounders see them first, set off  a light only noticeable to us." After her speech she showed us our positions on the map and what to do.

I was given some armor. It was a silver breastplate and a black cloak with 30% more magical strength just in case I wanted to use magic. "Wear your armor all times. In two days is when the war was predicted. But you never know."

All day we stood guard at our posts. The only one not really fighting was eyeless Jack and another healer so they could patch up any wounded 'soldiers'.

War was coming, and I'am glad we prepared...
