Klaus walked into the study with his sister right behind him. He was sure that no one saw Kiera as they made their way down to the study. "Good morning mother." Klaus said with a blunt voice. "Good morning Klaus, happy bir..." his mother turned around and stared at Kiera. She was shocked. She had no idea who was in her home but she had a pretty good feeling.
"Uh...Klaus...Darling, who is this." she stuttered afraid for an answer. "Oh mother, I'm surprised, I thought for sure you would have remembered your own daughter." Klaus was on the edge of losing it. He knew that his mother knew that was Kiera but she didn't want to believe it.
"My who?"
"Your little girl."
"Klaus, I think that you're mistaken."
"Oh but I'm not. I know that this is MY twin sister, YOUR daughter. You know, your flesh and bones, your mini me, the one that you're supposed to love unconditionally? Or did you forget your job as being a mother?"
"Um...Well, you see..."
"What's the matter mother? Did I show you what you're afraid of the most? Are you afraid of facing your mistakes?
Their mother turned the other way, not sure what to do. "Mom, Kiera wants to talk to you, or is it too much to handle?" Klaus was obviously taunting her, but he didn't care. Their mother couldn't take it anymore. "Klaus, bring her back to the attic." her voice was weary. "No mother, face this problem."
"Klaus, I won't ask you again. Bring.Her.To.The.Attic.NOW!"
"NO! I WILL NOT!"
And with those words, she lost it. She went up to Klaus and slapped him across the cheek. Kiera screamed. Her mother looked at her with a slight grin. She grabbed her arm and started to walk up the stairs. Kiera was trying to release herself from her grip, but she couldn't. Her mother's grip was too tight. By the time they reached the attic, Kiera's hand was throbbing. She got pushed into the attic and when she turned around, she knew the door was locked.
Back in the study, Klaus was holding his cheek while trying to take control of reality. When he realised that Kiera was longer there, he lost it. He bolted up to the attic, screaming his head of like a maniac. When he reached to the door of the attic, he attempted to open it, but it was locked. He ran to his room and slammed the door. He went rummaging through his draws in his desk. He was looking for something, something that could save his sister's life. He had a feeling that his mother would tell the servants to stop bringing her food. Finding this object would be his only option of Kiera's life or death. That's when he found it. He held it to the sunlight, hoping the rumors were true. He was given a skeleton key by a relative when he was young. Story says that skeleton keys can unlock any door lock. He grasped the key and ran towards the attic, not knowing what to expect.
