Sasuke glanced around the cell he was being held in, and looked for anything that he could use to to get out of the cell.
Wait.
Maybe he could get information about Kiba's whereabouts through this stalker-like security guard?
"Hey, you," Sasuke said to the silver haired man. "What's your name?"
The man raised an eyebrow. "You know, you should show some more respect to your elders. But since I know who you are, I'll tell you who I am. My name's Hatake Kakashi."
"Why are you a security guard?" Sasuke asked, still keeping his rude tone of voice.
Hatake Kakashi stared at him for a moment before bursting out in a fit of chuckles. "You think I'm a security guard?" he asked between laughs.
Sasuke frowned. "Aren't you? Why else would you be roaming the village at night?"
"Well, I was on my way to my house since I had just finished my work for the day, when I ran into you. Now let me ask you a few questions," Kakashi said, staring at Sasuke in the eye. "I thought everyone in the Uchiha family was slaughtered by Uchiha Itachi. How are you still alive?"
Sasuke slammed his fist in the jail bars. "Don't mention his name with your filthy mouth," he snarled.
Kakashi laughed again, his chuckle being lighthearted and cheerful. "So, how are you alive?"
"That doesn't concern you," Sasuke snapped. This man was very annoying. How dare he mention his brother's name with his filthy Konoha mouth? Who did this man think he was? He had no idea what Sasuke had to go through to get to where he was now.
He didn't even deserve the right to ask.
Sasuke then noticed that Kakashi was holding a book which he was well into reading. In fact, he was almost done with it. The black haired boy stole a glance at the cover of the book, and frowned as he realized what book he was reading.
What the...
What in the world was Make-Out Tactics?
Sasuke vaguely remembered seeing one of the people in the Uchiha Clan reading that book once. Was it that interesting?
Well, Sasuke had always been prepared from the start. He turned away from the bars and fished a small book out of his jacket. He smirked as he read the cover, and turned to the man again, asking, "Is that an interesting book you're reading?"
Kakashi looked up and chuckled again. "Well, it's good, but it's not appropriate for children like you."
Sasuke bit his lip in annoyance. I'll let you know, I'm twelve years old, he thought irritably. "If I give you something, will you let me go about my business?" he asked. "After all, I was just walking around the village."
"Yes, you were, but you're a runaway," Kakashi said. "So I have to keep you here for now until the Hokage decides what to do with you."
Ugh.
The Hokage.
Was it still that old man?
Or was it a new one now? Since the old man has probably long since died?
Sasuke waved the book in front of the silver-haired man's face. "What if I give you this?" he asked with an evil smile on his face.
Kakashi stood up to take a closer look at the book and his jaw dropped open. Or probably, since Sasuke couldn't tell with the mask covering the lower half of the man's face. "Is...is that the next book in the series of Make-Out Tactics?"
