Lucas POV
"Dad Mom's in labor are you coming?" Leah yelled at me. Seeing her at the age of 17 was crazy, was Riley really pregnant? Again?
"Wait, Leah how many siblings do you have?" I asked.
"This makes three, Dad are you ok?" She asked.
"Yep, just making sure you were." I smiled. 4 kids, damn. Just then I felt a jerking...
"Lucas let go!" Riley yelled. I untangled my arms from around Riley as she sprinted to the bathroom. It must have been a dream, I was hoping that it wasn't. I heard Riley in the bathroom, puking. I got up and went to hold her hair. I attempted to my best ability to put it in a ponytail so I could get her a glass of water. When I went back to the bathroom she was laughing, looking at herself in the mirror.
"This is a ponytail?" She asked me.
"Hey, I'm a guy. I don't do... that." I pointed at her hair.
"It was sweet and..." She ran back to the toilet. I ran to rub her back and hold back the falling pieces of hair. She stopped and sat back.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
"Yeah, stupid morning sickness."
"Daddy?" Leah asked in the doorway. We both looked up at a frightened Leah.
"Go." Riley whispered. I looked at her. "I'm ok, I'll call if I need you, calm her. She's afraid of me." Riley closed her eyes at the last part.
"No..." I attempted to say before getting interrupted.
"Lucas go to her." Riley opened her eyes.
"Come on Leah." I stood still looking at my defeated wife. I picked Leah up and took her back to her room. I sat her on her bed, looking over at the clock. 5:37 am. Great.
"Daddy is mommy sick?" She asked.
"Yeah, Mommy's tummy hurts." I explained.
"Is she ok?" Leah asked.
"Do you remember when you felt yucky?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"That's how Mommy feels." I tried to explain in her language. We haven't told Leah yet. We don't know how.
"Oh so she'll feel better later." She nodded.
"Yeah, now go back to sleep." I smiled tucking her in again.
"Ok one second." She got out and ran away. I followed her back to our bedroom. She stopped watching Riley climb back in bed. "Hi Mommy." Leah waved.
"Hi Princess." Riley waved back. Leah ran to the bed and climbed up. She crawled to Riley and kissed her forehead.
"Feel better, I want to play dollies tomorrow." Leah whispered pulling the covers over Riley doing her best to tuck her in. Riley smiled and nodded. Leah then came running back to me and to her bedroom. I tucked her in and closed her door slightly and went back to bed.
"How you feeling?" I asked climbing in next to Riley.
"Better. You know, that's what I said to her when she threw up." Riley smiled.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah, I tucked her in and said to feel better because I wanted to play dollies, I can't believe she remembers that." Riley shook her head. She moved to wear she rested her head on my chest. I kissed the top of her head. Her breathing got even and I knew she was asleep. I looked over at the clock. 5:53 am.
Gotta love Morning Sickness.
