Lucas POV

"Riley!" I hollered from the 'office'.

"Yeah?" She asked out of breath, jogging in the room.

"I think it's time we start working on the nursery." I nodded.

"Okay, but we haven't saved enough yet." She looked around.

"We have our amount." I smiled.

"Wait how, we are still three hundred away?" She asked.

"Your parents."

"What? They don't even know I'm pregnant." She was in shock.

"Maya and Josh told them." I looked away, pretending to check out the walls.

"What?" She yelled.

"Sush!" I whispered. "Leah is napping." I explained.

"I know, I put her to bed." She snapped.

"Don't get angry with me, I didn't tell your parents." I whisper yelled.

"This is annoying, I was going to tell them!" She protested.

"When?" I asked her. She looked away, then stormed out. I heard the front door slam. I knew it was the front door because the knocker on the front banged around. I sighed and went to look out the window. There went my angry, pregnant wife speed walking to the car. I was tempted to chase after her but she doesn't want me right now. I went to check on Leah who was playing with dollies.

"Leah?" I asked.

"Hi daddy." She smiled then stopped and ran to bed.

"Did mommy wake you?" I asked.

"No, I never went to sleep." She said honestly.

"Want to go shopping?" I asked. She nodded and ran to grab her new Nike's. I picked her up and we got locked up the apartment and got in my truck. We headed to target to get nursery stuff. While we were walking in I got a text.

Ranger Rick shes with me

Thank the heavens shes with Maya, although I knew she was. It was time to get to shopping.

Riley POV

"Peaches I know you hate me for this but they deserved to know. They are going to have a grandson, they already have a granddaughter they don't see. Riley I know things were bad in the past but they miss you and I know you miss them too." Maya tried to reason with me.

"Actually no I don't. No one can see that, except Lucas. I am happy with my family, my parents decided to not be apart of that. It's their fault not mine. Thanks for telling them so I didn't have to but right now I just need space. Who knows it might be different tomorrow but for today I need to be with my family, the ones that see me. The real me." I said grabbing my purse heading for the door.

"Riley I am family." Maya stood up.

"Me too." Josh followed. Although they were I meant my family, Lucas, Leah and I.

"Right now I need Lucas and Leah. Just us for now." I said walking out.

"Wait, Josh! Stop! I need to chase her!" Maya yelled.

"Maya let her go, she needs time." Josh calmed her.

"But I need her." She cried. I walked to my car and sat there and cried for awhile. I didn't want to go home just yet. Mom and Dad moved back awhile ago and I decided it was time to face them. I drove to their house and stood on their porch for 10 minutes wondering if this was the right thing to do. But Maya was right I did miss them, and I knew they missed me. I finally mustered up the courage and knocked on the door. Dad answered.

"Riley?" He asked.

"Hi Dad." I smiled. He hugged me. We didn't say anything. We just hugged each other. It just felt right.

"Honey who is at the door?" Mom asked. "Riley?" She teared up. I hugged her too.

"Auggie!" Dad yelled.

"What?" He asked walking in. "Riley?" He asked and ran to me. He slowed when he got closer and embraced me too.

"Hi." It was all I could say. They were so happy, yet I wasn't. It was great to see them, of course, but I was still angry. "I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I don't know where this will lead us but its a start." I said. "I have to go, maybe we'll see you soon." I started walking away.

"Wait but you just got here." Auggie said.

"I know buddy but there are issues I have to deal with slowly and this is the start of that so please be patient with me." I said with a small smile and left. I had been gone for hours. When I got home I could hear laughing from the office. When I entered Lucas was in shorts and a white shirt with blue paint all over him and Leah had a messy ponytail with the same outfit as well as the paint. The room was baby blue with a white crib and changing table.

"Riley!" Lucas said coming to hug me. He did and I knew they painted earlier because it was dry.

"Mommy!" Leah yelled. I picked her up and looked around.

"You guys didn't have to do this." I said to Lucas.

"Yeah we did." He nodded. I smiled and kissed him. He was still my Cowboy and I loved him. "We need to talk about names." He said with raised eyebrows.

"Well we have Lucas Friar and Leah Friar. I'm alone here with the R's so I was thinking Ryan. Ryan Augustus Friar." I said.

"Ryan Augustus Friar. I like it." Lucas smiled.

"Me too." Leah said smiling.

"Then it's settled." I smiled. Suddenly I felt this massive pain in my side. I almost dropped Leah. I clutched Lucas' shoulder for support.

"Babe are you ok?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah I took a breath." I set Leah down and when I stood up it happened again. I gripped his shoulder harder and he held my arms.

"Riley?" He looked at me worried.

"I think I'm going into labor. I think I'm having contractions." I said to him through the pain.
