ღDedicated to Emily and her loverღ
I was on sitting on the shores of Jeju Island munching on hot, spicy wasabi peas. Mmmmm... these peas were too good to be real. It might as well be named... umm... okay, I can't think of a punch line. The breeze felt fabulous against my sweaty skin due to the scorching sun hovering above me. I reached for my mango slushy when suddenly I heard a pestering buzz...
"Em! HELLO? HELLLOOOOOOOO?" I felt a slap against my arm and instantly opened my eyes glaring at whoever was trying to disturb my peace. I looked to my side and saw an annoyed looking face staring at me.
"W-what?" I stuttered and finally snapped back to reality. Wait, was I daydreaming...? Huh. Ce cocked an eyebrow and gave me a questioned look. "Ohh. Hey Ce! Watsup?"Wow. Here I was daydreaming about relaxing in the beach when really, I was just laying down on a bench in the school yard. The only thing I possibly liked about Devonia High School was it's yard.
No, I'm not talking about some tiny backyard you'd see behind someone's house. I'm talking about a yard as big as a football stadium. Well, maybe not that big, but at least it had basketball courts, a mini baseball field and benches. If it only had grass. I like grass.
"Are you daydreaming about some new lover boy or something? You have that dreamy satisfied look on your face. I''ve been trying to get your attention for like the past damn minutes. So, don't 'hey watsup' me."
"Well, thanks for the sunshine? Fyi I'm just... sleepy. Ugh. Shouldn't have slept at 4 yesterday." I rubbed my eyes and yawned. Seriously, I wouldn't even be surprised if I fainted at this rate. It would be better for me because I'd probably be able to just sleep in the nurse's office. How good would that be... to close my eyes and jus-
"You're doing it again," Ce scowled and rolled her eyes. "Stay awake. I'll slap you if I have to."
Celine Frey sure is feisty. That's what I love about her; that fuck-you attitude she gives everyone. Maybe that's why I'm her one and only best friend. Only I could handle that temper of hers.
She's that type of person who seems despiteful to most people, but if you really got to know her, you'd love her. I've known her since kindergarten and we've pretty much been inseparable since.
Ce's really pretty; like 'straight blonde hair, hazel eyes, full pink lips, long tan legs' kind-of-pretty.
Gorgeous and short tempered; you could say she's not really a candidate on the most likable list for girls at this particular school. Hell, she wouldn't be on the most likable list for girls on Earth, excluding me. However, she is on the list for guys.
I guess this is the part where I'm supposed to describe myself. I'm not ugly. I just don't have fascinating features like Ce. Thanks Mom and Dad.
My eyes are brown, I have straight black hair, my skin is pretty light colored (but in the summer I look like a roasted marshmellow), I have 'flirty lips' according to Ce, and I'm short (5'1). I get teased by plenty because of my height, but many boys actually find me cute. I guess it's one of those things where guys dig short girls.
"Ahh, sorry! I can't help it," I sighed and stretched my arms wide. I shivered from a sudden breeze and ended up looking like I did the harlem shake. "Btw, what do you mean new lover boy?!"
"Well, yeah. You fucking crush on guys way too easily, girl. New one every month? Hah. Whatever. Hey, don't forget about the first day of track after school. Make a good impression. Obviously, you might not do so in that condition of yours," Ce smirked, "Better look good cuz there might be hot guys."
