After what felt like years, I reached the doors of the school's entrance. I took a peek through the glassy transparent part of the doors to see who was waiting for me. I couldn't tell though. That person was wearing a hoodie.

Gender made a difference. I mean like, if it was a girl, I was probably going to get it back easily. If it was a guy... he'd ask for my bra in exchange for my iPod. Guys in this school are that desperate. I took a look at my watch. 6:29. I should stop wasting time. I reached for the door handles.

You're not a bad girl, yeah, you're not a bag girl...

A Boyfriend song? What? Oh yeah. My ring-tone. Who the hell was calling me at such an unreasonable time? I reached in my bag hastily, pulled out my Nokia flip phone (don't ask about it), and answered the call.

"Where are you? Do you know what time it is? Why aren't you home yet? Why didn't you pick up my calls? Did you fall into the Atlantic Ocean and get washed away to China? You better have a good reason to explain yourself, Missy!"

"Woah. Slow down, Mom! Sorry, I'll explain when I come home. I just got out of school. I promise you, I'll have a good explanation." I bit my lip.

My mom's like that. She was not exactly really strict. She lets me chill after school with my friends and have fun, but I just got to call her and tell her about it. I totally forgot about calling her. She must have been worried.

"You better have a good explanation. Thank god you're saf-" She hesitated and yelled, "Ian! Stop running around!"

Ugh. Ian's probably acting up again. As a thirteen years old teenager, my younger brother really was immature.

"Okay. Bye Mom." I said into the phone and hung up. Hmm... now where was I up to? Crap. My iPod! I checked my watch. 6:33. Oh goddamn.

I shoved the entrance doors open and looked around. There was no one to be seen. However, out of the corner of my eyes, I saw someone turning the corner of the block. For some reason, that person looked like a very familiar... boy.

"Hey! Excuse me! Wait up!" I shouted while running towards him or her. I ran with all my energy and turned the corner. Huffing, I took a look around and saw no one. Wow. That person sure walked fast... Or was I just seeing things and imagined a person? What was I going to do now?

I sighed and crossed the street to my bus stop. Thank god my bus stop wasn't far away from school. The bus came after a minute or so and I hopped on. After finding a seat, I decided to listen to music like I always do while riding the bus. I reached in my bag for my iPod, hesitated, and groaned. Great.

After arriving home and answering a billion gazillion questions from my mom, I ran upstairs to my room and shut the door. I grabbed my laptop and logged onto Facebook. 23 notifications and 3 messages. Huh. I clicked on the message icon and saw messages from Abby and Ce asking if I was fine.

The last message was from Will.

Him: Sup, shorty.

I smiled. Shorty wasn't exactly a compliment, but I was already used to that nickname. Will was my best guy friend. You know how I crushed way too easily on guys? Well, Will was even more special then that.

I've never had a crush on him because he was more like a brother to me. I love him so much as a friend; I'm most comfortable with him. He's sweet, nice when he wants to be, and makes me laugh. A lot. Let me tell you guys how we met.

"Em! Come with me to that table. I don't want to go alone." Crystal pouts. I glance over my shoulder to see which table she's referring to. Oh. Her ex, Will Stone was sitting there with his friends cracking up probably from some lame joke one of them made. Boys. "I'll feel awkward. We're cool I guess, even after a breakup. I just don't feel that comfortable yet.

I sighed and agreed to go. How could I leave her there alone? We walked over to his table and all heads glanced to our direction. Crystal smiled and introduced me to everyone.

"That's Will, that's Sean, and that's Ethan. Guys, meet Emily." I nodded at them and smiled. All of them were pretty cute, but Ethan caught my eye with his messy black hair and gray eyes. Will saw me eyeing Ethan and smirked.

"Psst. Yo, Ethan. Little miss shorty is looking at you like she wants to lick all around you." Will whispers loudly. I blushed uncontrollably. My face was red, as if I just ate a whole bag of wasabi peas. Another flaw of mine is blushing way too easily. I glared at him.

That's basically how we met. I did have a crush on Ethan, but he didn't show any affection towards girls. I question his sexuality sometimes.

Will and I used to be in the same ELA class for sophmore year. Our teacher was always really organized and he had this boys and girls closet where everyone put their bags and jackets and stuff. All we needed for his class was a loose leaf and a pencil, and he supplied all of that. I loved that teacher, though I forgot his name now.

Once, there was no more space in the girl's closet and the teacher asked if I could put my stuff in the boy's closet. I didn't mind and skipped to the boys closet.

"Yo shorty. What are you trying to do here? Are you trying to spray some of your magical perfume on our bags to make us all fall in love with you? Sorry, even that won''t work. We don't like mini girls like you." Will raised his eyebrows and smirked. The whole class snickered.

I wasn't exactly in a good mood that day because of my monthly vaginal bleeding (sorry if that sounded disgusting), so I couldn't control my temper. I bit him. It wasn't a normal bite. I growled, tackled him, and bit his left shoulder so hard, it started bleeding. He yelled and pushed me away, but didn't look angry. He stared at me and said, "I like you, tiger. Let's be friends."

That's basically how we became friends. Crazy, huh?

Me: Drop that nickname. Or I'll have to bite you again. :) Lmbo.

Him: Lmbo? Laugh my butt off? You're silly.

After messaging him for a few, I drifted off to sleep, even though it was only around 8 P.M. I felt tired.
