When I open my eyes, it's difficult to tell where I am. There's a stinging pain round my wrists, and wriggling them a little tells me it's because they're tied together with a rope.
"Stop moving," hisses a voice.
I twist my head round to see Louis. We are sitting back-to-back, and I think our wrists must be tied together.
"Sorry," I whisper. "What happened?"
"I only know as much as you," he shrugs. "But I think we're still in the bank."
I frown and look round. There's a slight crack of light that I assume are doors.
"I don't understand," I say.
Somebody bangs on the door, making it rattle. I flinch and then groan as the rope cuts into my wrist.
"Stop talking!" somebody yells from outside.
Louis ignores them. "I never did catch your name."
I roll my eyes and look at the door, but whoever is outside doesn't seem to have noticed. "Lillian Norman. You can call me Lilli."
The door is flung open violently and I narrow my eyes to see as the light blinds me.
"I said, shut up!" the man roars at us. He is very tall, and dressed all in black like I remember. He's holding a gun. I feel Louis tense as he catches sight of it.
The man grabs my chin, forcing me to look at him. "You listen to me, darlin'. You're gonna do as I say, or there'll be consequences. Okay?"
I nod quickly and he releases my chin, letting me breathe better.
"You two," he says, motioning wildly with his gun, "are hostages. We're demandin' ransom from this one's band. Course, darlin', you're just a bonus. Louis Tomlinson's girlfriend."
"I don't know her," Louis says immediately. "We only met today. Let her go."
The man's lips curve into a grotesque smile. "I don't think so, lad. Double the money, see? Twenty-thousand pounds, or both of you stay here for the foreseeable future."
"Twenty thousand," I whisper, and Louis groans.
"Exactly. And we don't care how bad you get beaten up, s'long as you're both alive. I doubt they'll pay ransom for your bodies." He twirls the gun idly in his hands. "So you two better keep yer gobs shut. Especially you, darlin'... if what he says is true, you don't matter so much to us."

They're in deep shit, basically.
