The bank is just as I remember it. It was only that morning, yet it seems so long ago. The only difference now is that the whole room is silent.

I am marched across the room. It seems to take forever. There is a man on each side of me, their fingers gripping uncomfortably tightly to each of my arms.

At first I struggle but the sound of my feet echoes through the expanse of the bank, and these men are much stronger than me, anyway; I have no chance of escape.

The double-doors have had black curtains pulled over them, but somebody rushes to open them as we approach.

Now I can hear the commotion outside, a buzz of reporters and flashing lights. The doors are opened a crack, and I am pushed partway out. The men are somewhere behind me, as their grip hasn't changed at all, but I don't dare to look round.

An unnatural silence falls over the street. I watch them for a moment, from the top of the marble steps, my hair falling round my face. I think my cheek has bruised from where I was slapped before; I don't dare to think what I must look like.

"Go on then, darlin'" hisses one of the men stationed behind me. "Talk."

My eyes widen. What the hell am I supposed to talk about, exactly?

"Erm, hi," I start awkwardly. "I'm Lillian Norman - er, Lilli, that is. I'm... being held hostage, I guess."

As I talk, desperately trying to think of something to say, I find Louis' band in the crowd. One Direction. I catch Liam's eye, and hold his gaze as I continue.

"Erm, I'm fine. And Louis. Louis is in there too, he's fine, he's -"

One of the men tightens his grip, cutting me off effectively. I pause, seeing Liam sigh in relief, and the other two - Harry and Niall - smile gratefully.

"I'm not exactly sure why I'm out here, actually, we were in some sort of cupboard and...."

"Ransom," one of the men hisses, and I can barely hear him.

"Oh. Right. Er, yeah, they want ransom. For the both of us, me and Louis. They're asking for twenty thousand pounds for us. I, well, it's ten thousand each, if that's easier."

I see Louis' friends turn to talk hurriedly to each other.

The men holding me are already starting to drag me away so I offer a small smile at the crowd as the doors close in my face.
