Hostage || Louis Tomlinson

C H A P T E R E I G H T

The darkness is threatening to take over entirely. It's impossible to guess how long I've been in this state, this coma; after a while time loses all meaning. It's just a constant blur of faint noise, and that incessant beeping.

"Lilli, please, wake up..."

"It's been a week now. They said a week, didn't they? Why are you still in a coma?"

"Please. Come back."

Louis has been a few times, of course. More than anyone else anyway. His voice is the only one I can ever really pick out.

Sometimes I want to reach out and reassure him, but it's difficult, and I'm so tired, and I can't move anyway. It's like being underwater. The surface is so near to me but I just can't get to it no matter how hard I try. And it continues to drag me downwards the longer I'm here.

His friends - his bandmates, that is - they've been, too. Supporting Louis. But if I know one thing, it's that Louis is okay. He's managing. That's all that really matters.

I didn't know I was so important to him. We only knew each other about a day and a half... but in that time, we went through a lot together. I guess we have a bond of sorts now.

Louis is back now. 

"Lilli, I miss you. It sounds strange, but I do miss you, I really do. You've been in a coma for over a week now. It's hard for things to go back to normal now that we're out of there and the press knows what happened. I need you here to help me, Lilli. Please."

Another voice joins in, with a forced sort of happiness. "She'll be alright, Louis."

Yes, it's hard. But maybe it's time to go back.

I reach out one last time.

Lol cliffhanger!! Is Lilli awake or not? Nobody knows. I know I'm evil ;)

I have my exams results now. So they're officially over and I should have more time to update now.
