I'm not even halfway back to the cupboard when there's a loud noise. It rings through my ears and somehow I know exactly what it is - a gunshot.

I scream as I am thrown to the floor by one of the masked men behind me as he rolls to the floor. The floor is stained with crimson and I freeze.

After a moment I regain my senses and scramble away from him, looking away from his blank eyes.

Once I've managed to push myself against a wall in panic, I see that it's the police. They've pushed past the doors and are standing in a line, holding guns.

One of them fires again, hitting another of my captors.

Quickly I make my way to the cupboard. Only now do I realise just how dark it is.

"Lilli?" Louis hisses in disbelief, noticing that I am alone, and then wincing as another gunshot sounds through the building, followed by shouting.

I hurry to untie him. "The police are here, we need to go, we'll be in the way," I say hurriedly, panicking slightly.

He follows me out, narrowing his eyes against the bright light. We rush along the wall and then crouch beside a desk in order to avoid being hit.

"What do we do?" Louis asks, his blue-green eyes wide in panic. I shrug helplessly. The police don't seem to have noticed us yet as they have spread around the bank to look for us.

Our captors - there seem to be about seven of them - are being held against a wall, arms in the air. There are still a few more throughout the building that the police seem to be trying to catch.

One of them draws a gun suddenly, and grabs Louis. I hadn't even realised they were that close to us.

Louis struggles to no avail; the captor drags him to his feet and holds the gun against the side of Louis' head.

I let out a small scream. "Louis!"

One of the man's arms is wrapped round Louis' neck, pinning him back to prevent struggle.

A policeman stands opposite them, holding his own gun steady. "Let him go."

Louis winces as the gun digs further into his head. The policeman fires; the bullet hits the man's leg, dangerously close to Louis, who stumbles sideways away from him.

The man forces himself back to his feet and swings his arm round before I have time to react. The gun smacks Louis round the head and he sprawls to the floor.

I throw myself to the floor beside him. "Shit, Louis," I say in a half-sob.

"M'fine," Louis mumbles, but he's bleeding from a deep cut just round his ear, and he gasps in pain when I go to touch it.

"Help," I sob... "Help."

--------
This chapter is kinda long compared to the others... I wanted to get some action in there.

I've had huge writer's block which is why I haven't updated for a few days so I just made this up as I went along. But I thought you guys deserved it because I have 127 reads which doesn't sound like much but honestly it's made my day.

In other news, Harry cut his hair off. HARRY FREAKING STYLES CUT OFF HIS HAIR. I don't know how to feel about this. But he gave it to the Little Princess Trust and I just asdfghjkl he is the most perfect human being <3
