Rayne was feeling very happy right now. In a few minutes she could go home. She was currently perched on the roof of the guy's house who they were going to kidnap. Quinn and Robb were in charge of getting him out and then they would create a portal to Reklaan, their home.

Reklaan, for her, had been a chance for a new life. True, it hadn't started out well but that had changed.

But why in world, does it have such a cheesy name!!

Rayne decided to peek below to see what was going on. When she looked, she saw Robb carrying a guy over his shoulder. She couldn't make out his face because it was so dark. She felt a bit of pity for him. He would face hardships that they could not help him with.

At that time, Quinn sprang up in front of her and said, " We got him, let's go."

"Jeez, you want to wake everyone up."

Quinn just grinned before skipping ahead towards the portal.

Rayne just shook her head with frustration. She remembered when she first met Quinn. That girl was the most cheerful person, anyone could ever meet. She could make anyone laugh. Even the old geezer chuckled after seeing her antics. And making that geezer laugh was no easy feat.

Rayne looked at Robb. Robb on the other hand was much more serious. But even he could share a joke or two. He was an ideal student and among them the least rule breaking person. Of course, whenever she or anyone else got into trouble, he would always cover up for them. It was usually Luke.

Luke was a bit of a trouble maker. For some reason, he always got into trouble. But even then, the group was no fun without him. He always got into fights with Avery. Usually cause of his never ending pranks.

Avery was the exact opposite. She was the quietest of them all. However she could get angry very fast and that's why you most likely don't won't to be on her bad side. Luke however always was. Their bickering was endless.

And those were her friends. All of them had found a home in Reklaan. Some more than others.

Robb grabbed her hand and said," Now is not the time to be dreaming Rayne."

Rayne just laughed and let herself get dragged into the portal. Going through the portal was not instantaneous. It usually took a couple of minutes. Rayne saw that everyone was excited to go back home. She herself was. She couldn't wait to eat Mochi cakes again. After all they were a specialty of the city she lived in.

Luke shouted," Looks like we reached."

The moment he said it an opening came up. Rayne sucked her breath in and ran towards it and then through it.

As she landed, she saw the forests of Reklaan surround them with a beauty that no Earth forest could compare to.

I'm home.

Hey. Thanks for reading. I know this chapter was short. I'm still trying to adapt to a suitable narrative style( Do comment on what you think I should be doing. Like is POVs good. Or should I spread it out??)

Do comment, vote and share. And maybe even a follow cause that would be awesome;-) ;-)
