"..but I'll first tell you the reason we took you."

Galen didn't want to stay here any longer but it was better to listen than run the risk of her changing her mind about allowing him to go back.

" I guess that's okay.." ,said Galen.

The Empress took a deep breath before starting," Our people , that is, the ones who live here, started to exist at the same time humans did. However at that time, we didn't know they existed and vice versa. Time passed and we advanced in every field. As you can see now, we are more advanced then your fellow humans. But its not because we are more intelligent than them or any other superior crap..."

Are Empresses allowed to swear??!! Everyone here seems shocked so I guess not.

Galen tried not to laugh as he thought that.

The Empress continued, "...Its because we have something that you humans call magic." She paused for the effect.

Galen remembered that Robb had mentioned this before but he had not believed it but now...

I really don't think any TV prank show would go this far to prank me which means that what she's saying is true.

The Empress, pleased with the look of awe on Galen's face, continued but now with a grim tone," Yes, magic. In our world its called Quil but most people call it Aura. So with Quil, our people prospered, but due to failed project, a plague hit our world. This plague only affected Quil users. Slowly they started dying. However one of our researchers found another world. Your world. We found out that the plague wouldn't strike Earth. It was a perfect solution. We decided to integrate our people among yours. Decades passed before our world is rid of the plague. Quil started to flourish in Reklaan again. When we decided to bring back the Quil users who had to live in Earth, we found out that they had mixed up among the Earthlings. This made it very difficult to track them down since all the original Quil users had died due to age. Finding their children was much more tough. We had to make sure that they had potential to use Quil before bringing them here. The ones that stand beside you are all Quil users who we brought from Earth. They all made their choice to make Reklaan their home, and now its  time to make yours."

She looks at me expectantly.

What she just said seems so impossible but I know she's not lying.

Galen hesitantly said," Why can't I just stay on Earth though, you surely have no need for me here, right?".

The Empress made a face of anger and disgust before saying, " For us to get rid of the plague, we paid a heavy price. And now our World is in danger and so is yours. The beasts you so earlier...there are more of them, much more powerful. We need to defeat them and for that we need the Quil users."

Suddenly Galen realised something.

He exclaimed," Oh Wait...that means I can use ma.. Quil??!!"

The Empress looked at him as if he was the biggest idiot in the world," I thought you realised that ages ago. That was the whole point of this conversation. Did you seriously just realize that!!"

Galen could hear some snickers being him.

"Errr..."

I am such a doofus. I was so into the story that I forgot to focus on its meaning.

The Empress just shook her head in frustration and said, " Anyways, so you see, we need more Quil users to keep Reklaan and Earth safe. Humans cannot see these monsters. If you decide to stay here, then we will train you and get you ready to fight them."

Galen didn't know what to say. On one hand, he wanted to know more about this place and these monsters, on the other hand the whole concept of Reklaan, quip or Quil or whatever they called it was absurd. But most of all, he was worried about his Aunt Emma.

" I have this Aunt back at.."

The Empress cut him off by saying," I am sorry but you cannot bring her here nor can you tell her about us."

Galen then said firmly," Then I wish to go home."

The Empress scowled at him," We are talking about saving worlds here and you are worried about not talking to your aunt."

" She is my world." Galen replied silently but firmly.

The Empress looked at him with a bit of sadness and said," Very well then, we'll send you back to Earth. After one week , Jaúrus Robb will come and ask you whether you wish to come or not. If you say no, then we shall never bother you again but you must never tell a soul about Reklaan otherwise... "

She continued coldly,"..you will die."

Everyone looked shocked but also knew that it was a necessity that couldn't be avoided.

Galen looked at her determined and said," Fine."

In his mind he knew that he couldn't leave Emma and go. She was his only family. He couldn't, not after all she had done for him.
