chapter 19

Dani's POV

1 Month later

It's been a month since me and Luke found out the news of me being pregnant and we couldn't be happier we told everyone the news and everyone was so happy and excited about the fact  that there was going to be a new baby hemming around in just a short five months. We were scared that Melody and spencer weren't going to be happy about the baby but they were over the moon about having a new baby brother or sister, the pregnancy was starting to get a little bit better since the morning sickness was starting to calm down a little. Its a lot better than my last pregnancy though, everything's less problematic and by that I mean everything from the body pain and throwing up to the tender breasts is like not as prominent. In all honest though if I could describe being pregnant its like having the stomach flu mixed with being on your period minus obvious things. But there's also a lot of joys to being pregnant, it's just really hard sometimes but I wouldn't trade and of this for the world. I love being pregnant and I love the growing boy or girl inside of me. I remember the very few nice moments me and my mom ever had together I was laying on her lap while she combed her fingers through my hair, I had asked her what it was like being pregnant and after she told me all the good and bad details that I have now figured out for myself she also told me " Mothers are one of the most lucky tings in the world because, only others could share the gift of gods miracle, which was  being pregnant.". That's one of my most cherished memories because that's one of the very few moments I've ever had with my mother. I know I say both of my parents were awful but my fathers the real monster I this he was the one who always put e down and my dad was the one who threw me out at 14 years old to fend for myself. My mother always loved me she was the one who tried to build me up after my father broke me down, other than Luke she was the only one who ever really helped me, I mean Lilly was out doing all these extra curricular things that my dad made her do and spencer was always out practicing his sports for my father.

My train of thoughts were interrupted by the feeling of vile coming up my throat, I ran into the bathroom emptying my stomach for the one millionth time today. After I was done I got up and brushed my teeth and through my hair up and splashed my face with water. I looked into the mirror lifting my shirt up a little to examine the little bump that was starting to how a little more and smiled running my hand over my bump, I saw large hands touch my bump and I smiled knowing it was Luke, I turned around and rested my head on his chest while he rocked us back and forth nuzzling his head into my neck, I smiled while the sparks and warmness spread through my body from his touch. It's funny and scary at the same time how anyone could love someone as much as I loved him, every time the tips of his fingers even brush over my skin I feel sparks ignite through me and every time he kisses me a fire spreads through my body. I don't know if I could ever live without him again I don't want too, I don't ever want to find that out either, all I know is he's my other half and I love him and that we have a beautiful family that I wouldn't trade for anything.

" How did I get so lucky?" I said.

" I think the real question is, how did get so lucky." he said making me chuckle.

" So what time are we leaving for the appointment for the baby?" he asked. Oh yeah we had the doctor's appointment I almost forgot about that.

" Um it's 11 o'clock now and the appointments at 1:30, the office is an hour drive so we have to leave in an hour."

" Ok, let's take a shower, get ready and leave."

" Alright then, let's go." We walked upstairs into our bathroom and Luke turned on the faucet to the shower. We took our close off and jumped in. When we got in the shower we both got under the faucet and shared the warmth of the water, after a few moments of being under the faucet Luke poked me causing me to look up at him he smiled and motioned for me to turn around; I obeyed his request and turned around. After a few seconds I felt him put shampoo in my hair and scrub my scalp with the soapy substance, once I rinsed the shampoo washed out of my hair I grabbed Luke's shampoo and got on my tippy toes and scrubbed his hair with it after he rinsed it out we got out of the shower and wrapped towels around ourselves walking into our room and getting dressed . once we were dressed and ready we went downstairs to find the kids watching SpongeBob we kissed them goodbye and made our way to the car Luke ran in  front of me and opened the car door for me tipping his imaginary hat saying " M'lady," with a dorky grin on his face I replied with a " Dork" while chuckling at him " But I'm your dork" he said before closing my door for me before running to his side of the door and climbing in the car.

He started the car and we drove off to our appointment with Bring Me To The Horizen blasting through the speakers, Luke reached over the console grabbing my hand and rubbing circles with his thumbs make electric shocks running up my arm. After a while of driving and multiple bands blaring through the speaker we arrived at the doctors office. Luke turned off the car and we unbuckled our seatbelts and got out of the car, once me and Luke met at the back of the  car he wrapped his arm around my shoulder while I wrapped my arm around his waist, We walked into the office and signed in after we set down Luke put his arm back around my shoulders and I rested my head on his side and closed my eyes while my eyes were closed I felt Luke rest his large hand on my bump and start rubbing circles on my stomach causing a smile tug on my lips. I opened my eyes to examine the room and the people in it. It was mainly filled with older women and 2 girls who looked to be my age, some of the older women were giving me dirty looks but I didn't care so I brushed them off. The women next to me looked up and smiled at me and Luke I smiled back at her before one of the nurses called my name and me and Luke got up h took my hand as we walked into the other part of the building and into one of the rooms I sat on the bad while Luke pulled up a chair directly next to my bed before grabbing my hand again. We waited a minute talking about random things and joking around soon enough the doctor came in greeting u with a "Hello" and a warm smile she put her gloves on  before getting all the stuff out for the baby monitor. she instructed me to pull my shirt up once I had my shirt lifted up reveling my small bump she put the gel on my stomach causing me to his from how cold it was she muttered a " Sorry" before putting the thing on my stomach.

 She moved the thing around my stomach before pointing to the screen " See theres your baby!" She said me and Luke looked at the screen to see a little figure that was our baby, it was beautiful it caused tears to spill out of my eyes. The doctor looked at me and Luke and smiled at us. " Would you guys like to know the sex of the baby?". I looked over at Luke he nodded with teary eyes and I answered her with a " Yes!". She nodded and looked back at the screen before smiling wide at us.

" You're having a baby girl!"
