I forgot to post this yesterday (so sorry!) but here it is, Chapter 11! Hope you enjoy!
I was dreading school this morning, considering the events of Friday night's party. Hambell hadn't text me, which was strange considering he liked to annoy Amy and myself with all gossip (even though we were there to witness it). I had to read on Facebook that I was the one who had trashed Hambell's dad's study.
One hundred guesses as to who started that rumor.
I headed to the bus stop. Amy and Hambell were already there. I waved, Amy gave me a solemn smile but Hambell didn't even look at me. This was really bad.
"I'm sorry." I said as I approached him, he didn't say anything, he just looked up the road for the bus. I turned to Amy. "It wasn't me, it was Isaac!" I stated. Even though it technically was a little bit from me when I jumped on Isaac, but I wasn't going to mention that. Amy gave me a puzzled look.
"Who the hell is Isaac?" she asked. I laughed, was she joking?
I only had to think of the events of the last couple of days to realize she probably wasn't joking. I hadn't seen Finn since he jumped out of my window Saturday morning, and although I knew that was probably for the best, I couldn't help but feel no more than just one of the many people he would meet on his quest to find his Father...and Isaac.
"You know the guy you were all over, practically covered him in drool. You know, Isaac." I glared at her wide eyed for effect, Amy looked at me as if I was still drunk. She put her hand on my forehead.
"Are you ok Serena? Are you coming down with something?" I scoffed, this was unreal.
"No, are you?" I questioned, Hambell butted in.
"Just admit you did it Serena, then maybe I can forgive you." I almost jumped from the sound of Hambell's voice.
"I'm sorry." I said, defeated. I wasn't happy about apologizing for something I hadn't fully done, but clearly Finn, or even Isaac, had worked some weird Alien mojo and wiped my friend's memories, but how come I still remembered? I shivered slightly, wondering why I needed to remember and they could all forget. I would gladly sign up for a forget-the-last-two-weeks pill.
"Apology accepted." He said, although I had a feeling he was only saying that so he could continue to casually hang around with us.
The bus finally came up the road, it was an old thing and it sputtered and rattled. You could hear it a mile off. We all stepped on automatically when the doors opened. We were usually the first ones on the bus. Our village first on the route, but sat at the back was a face I recognized. Finn was on the bus.
Finn was on the Bus.
I had no idea if he had gone back to his world, I didn't even know how long it would take him to get there. But here he was, sat at the back of school bus, looking directly at me. His school uniform immaculate, but it looked wrong on him. Like he was too old for it, or maybe because he was an alien...
"Whose that?" Amy asked, intrigued. "Do you know him?"
"Uhhh..."
"Must be new." Hambell added.
"Obviously Hambell!" Amy snapped.
"I'm going to say hello." I said, being drawn to the back of the bus, Finn's eyes never leaving my body, almost calling me to him. Amy and Hambell sat in the middle of the bus, watching intently as I approached the "new guy".
"What are you doing here?" I whispered. Finn gave me a welcoming smile.
"I'm going to school." He said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
