Happy Birthday Connie!! (Steven universe story)

Chappy 1 bad behind

Morning 4 days before the big day

Connie's big day was coming soon and she's filled with excitement. 4 days to go before the fun starts, but she has to work hard in school aswell. The special day is on saterday. Connie was relieved that it would fall on a saterday this year or else she would be filled with embarrassment all over again and Steven would not be able to attend her birthday.

Connie prepared for school and has done her daily routine. She wore a white sleeveless top and a light blue skirt that reaches below her knees. It was a Tuesday so there would be sword training with pearl and Steven aswell, so she brought her usual equipment for the training, but she just couldn't wait to get to Stevens house and tell him of the news.

The bus arrived at Connie's house. she said her goodbyes to her parents and gave a quick kiss on the cheek. She entered the bus and found an empty seat. She took a seat at the window side. She could hear everybody in the bus talking, playing with their paper airplanes or even trading cards. She wouldn't mind anyone or even pay attention as she stared out the bus window. She sat there and didn't notice three girls enter the bus. Those three walked to Connie's seat and gave her an unwelcoming glare.

"Well if it isn't the friendless loner named Constance." The girl in the middle said who appears to be wearing blue pants, brown boots, a white crop top with a dark blue blazer. She had blond hair with some of it covering a little bit of her face, her eyes were baby blue.

"What do you want Sabrina and it's not Constance it's Connie"

"Well loner me and my gals here think you should sit somewhere else"

"Why? I already got this seat"

"Well us three don't think a weirdo should sit thereor should be sitting at a seat at all." She said with venom in her tone.

"I'm already here and for the record I'm not friendless. I happen to in fact a friend of my own."

"Wait let me guess the magic boy who's half person half rock pl-ease like that's true"

"It is true and he's a crystal gem too!"

"I don't care what freak show you have but I don't care about you. Now get lost brat or we'll make you"she said stepping closer to Connie. Connie didn't say anything and just left the seat trying not to get in a fight.

"Yes that's what I thought" those were the last words she heard from her and took a seat beside the nerds trading cards.

They have arrived in school and immediately Connie went to her class. She first period was her favorite science. She always love the topic about science body parts, specimens, cells and other things. She sat at her chair and took out the things she needed.

(Connie POV)

Why does she always have to be a jerk?! I hate her! She's always the reason why I'm having a hard time in school. She didn't even believe me when I explained that Steven was real! Oh I'll show her hat I'm not a loner.

*Ring*

Ok time to start.

*time skip Connie doing her subjects*

It's lunch time now and my mom prepared for me. I found a spot in the cafeteria and sat alone as I usually do. I see the three Devils walking towards me.

"Well this isn't a surprise is it loser! Lonely as usual. Hey! Where's that little magic boy you always talk about? Oh wait he's just a cover up to everyone so that who know YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS!" She said to me as the two other girls at her side threw peas at me. I I turn my head around and I  can see everyone around laughing at me. 'I can't hadle this anymore!' I thought as I ran to the restroom still hearing the echoes of laughter mocking me with shame and embarrassment.

*ring!*

The bell rung as everyone went to their designated classes. Connie left the restroom to get to her class. As she walk through the hallway of her school she heard gossips and whispers. She knew everything was about her. She got to class and stayed at her seat not looking up to greet the teacher as she still heard the whispers of mockery.

*time skip dismissal*

Finally it was time to get to Stevens place. Connie hurriedly wore her battle outfit and exited the place hoping no one saw her in her fighting clothes. Luckily no one  didn't notice her and a wave of relief washed down on her knowing she haven't been seen by the three girls.

She hurriedly went to Stevens place and met him and pearl there.

"Hey Connie you made it!!" Steven said happily that his best friend finally arrived.

"Yea well.. Let's get started!!"

They were at the sky arena and Connie's training was to battle tons of holo pearls in ice with the help of her biscuit Steven.

*after all the fighting*

"Wow Connie you've really improved a lot this past week! I'm impressed." Pearl said with a hint of joy in her voice. "Yea you were amazing Connie!! I loved the way you moved! It was all like woosh~ then you were like slash! Slash! It was so cool!"
Steven said.

'He's still the same boy I've had a crush on since years ago. He's still so childish!' Connie thought as she just remembered what she has to say to Steven.

"Steven I have to tell you something it's really important"

"Let me guess...mhhmmm.. Someone birthday is coming up!"

Connie smiled at him widely thinking it was so sweet of him to remember her birthday.

"You remembered that's so sweet of you Steven" Connie said. Steven got overly exited as he bear hugged Connie After realizing his actions Steven backed up with a pink blush on his cheeks. Realizing the situation Pearl not wanting to disturb the two love birds smiles with silence not wanting to break the moment. Connie felt herself blush aswel  having Steven hug her was just so heart warming. It made her feel giddy.

"Heh.. Well you know you can attend my birthday now since my father allowed me to invite you to a dinner."

"Oh wow really?!.. Wait wait what about the gems?"

"My dad said they could come but shouldn't be acting weird again like the fusing thing and the other stuff so yea they can go!"

Pearl thought of all the gem monsters still out there and not in a bubble.

"So what do you say pearl wanna go with us and have garnet and amethyst come to!" Steven said with joy in his eyes

"No no sorry we couldn't. Me and the rest have so much to handle on mission"pearl said seeing the joy in his eyes fade a little.

"Really well that's to bad." Connie said with the hint of disappointment.

"Well.... Maybe we can perserve that day for Steven and you Connie" pearl said with a surrendered to cuteness look.

Both of them jumped with joy and happiness. Pearl smiling aswel seeing her student and her growing up baby happy as can be.
