"Are you sure this is okay, Kylo? I'm not sure this is right," you asked your boyfriend a little nervously.

"Baby, baby, it's fine. Don't worry about how she feels about it. We're in love and that's all that matters." Kylo wasn't worried about his mother finding out about your high-risk relationship at all, and that definitely showed in his choice of words.

"But, Kylo, I'm close with your mother. I don't think we can be in love."

You had known Leia since you were very little. Since you grew up without a mother, she was like the mother you never had. You grew up around her.

Back when Kylo was known as Ben, before he turned, the Solo family was close. You had lots of fun going over to their house and hanging out with them. But after his transition, things went south.

Leia was heartbroken that her son that she knew was gone. Han was just as torn and this caused a drift in the family. Both Han and Leia decided they couldn't be together anymore. So they separated, both taking the blame for their son's behavior.

Kylo became estranged from the family, but you still had contact with Leia. You'd often go over to see her. But she didn't know that you still saw Kylo and that you two were dating. And if she found out, you weren't sure that she would be too happy about it.

This was not an easy secret to keep from someone as important as Leia was to you.

"Y/N!" Kylo became angry. "What do you mean we can't be in love? You're sounding ridiculous!"

"Kylo! Don't talk to me that way!"

"That's it! I'm done!" With that, Kylo stormed out of the room.

"I hate when he does this," you thought to yourself before going after him.

Your boyfriend had locked himself in his room and wouldn't open the door.

"Open the door already!" You kicked  it furiously to no avail.

Then there was the sound of the lightsaber. Of course—the lightsaber. Whenever Kylo got upset, he destroyed everything in his presence with that jagged, red weapon of his.

"Not again, Kylo! Let me in!"

After delivering a few more slashes to the walls of his bedroom, he opened the door, his lightsaber still ignited.

He pointed it at your face. You shrieked.

"If you're not going to let me love you, then you must die," he said with almost no emotion in that deep voice of his.

"No, Kylo! Put that away! I do love you!" you confessed.

Suddenly, his face turned soft, looking remorseful for what he had almost done and surprised at what you had said.

"Y-you do?"

"I never stopped loving you, I just don't think it's right. But you don't listen to me."

"Oh yeah? Okay, explain what's so wrong about this. I'll listen." He didn't sound very convincing.

"Okay, let's go sit on your bed and discuss this." You motioned behind him to where his bed was and he stepped out from the doorway to make room for you to enter his destroyed bedroom.

You walked past him, wading through a bunch of charred rubble to his still-intact bed, and sitting down. This was not the time to lecture him on his tantrums, so you kept quiet.

"Please come sit." You patted a space of the bed right next to you.

He sighed but sat down next to you.

"Okay, can I talk?"

Kylo responded kindly, "Of course, my love."

You looked into his eyes and began.

"So you know I'm close with your mom."

"Yes, I do."

"She's like a mother to me, seeing as how I never had one of my own. And she doesn't know I see you still. She doesn't even know where you are, Kylo!" You were growing more upset.

You continued on, "I know you don't mind keeping secrets from her, but I just can't anymore. And I'm sure if she finds out about this, she wouldn't like that I'm dating someone who's dangerous. Let alone, her dangerous son."

Kylo didn't like what he was hearing, "You think I'm dangerous? Fine then, Y/N! Then get out of my room, get out of my house, and never come by here again!" He grabbed your arm forcefully and flung you out of his room.

Even with the amount of anger he exhibited, he had tears in his eyes.

You took one last look at him and knew it was clear that your relationship could not work.

It was time to go and tell Leia the truth—the truth about her long-lost son.
