The next morning was a blur, mostly smoke filled rooms and stepping over empty beer bottles, while also trying to avoid bumping into any ashtrays. I did my daily routine, but today was a good day, it was the weekend, my three day weekend.
"Today I have decided to call Grey, to see what she is up to." I said to myself, I normally talk to myself... mostly because no one is they to judge me, I can say whatever I want to. I stepped outside to get a breath of fresh air, I reached into my pocket and pulled out a beaten flip phone. I reached back down into my pocket and pulled out her phone number, I popped it into my contact list and dialed her number. *ring* *ring* *ri-* "hello? Who is this?" She answered.
"it's me, Anthony. I was wondering what you were doing today."
"I wasn't planning anything, but if you want to hang out we can." I smiled slightly. "That would be wonderful. I'll see you soon."
I waited outside my house, naturally as she would always pick me up, I felt that smoke and alcohol wouldn't smell good on me. I watched the birds fly by with the occasional plane, I must have laid there outside my house for a good hour before I heard a car coming up my drive, I sat up and Grey honked at me.
I got into her car and closed the door. "Hey Grey what's up?" Grey Sat there in the driveway for a moment not saying anything, just staring into the open air. She shook her head and put the vehicle into reverse. As we slowly pulled away from the beaten up trailer and I looked at her puzzled. "Grey?" I asked curiously. "What's up?" She responded normally.
"Uh..I already asked you that. Are you ok?"

She didn't answer immediately, as if she had to think about what she was going to say. "Well I... I've been seeing things lately and they don't seem real. Like I've been seeing creatures. They are made of darkness and hate, they look like something from the depths of hell no one can imagine" She then did something so erratic that it shook me to my core. Grey twisted her neck slowly in an arching movement towards me, a smile creeping onto her face growing unnaturally large, she slammed on the gas of the car as I froze with fear.
How did she know... HOW DOES SHE KNOW?
I asked myself this as we sped down the road, grey began to laugh as we approached oncoming traffic. Her gaze never left me as we drove. "Grey!" I shouted before we made impact...

Then nothing.

Blank dark space, I had been transported to an empty room probably not big enough to completely stretch my arms out. I felt around hoping to find a light switch or something but the anxiety of the situation before started to set in. I begin to panic as the darkness feels like it's getting darker, almost as if the oxygen was being drained from the room. Or maybe it was my hope fading. I scratched and clawed until I grew tired, I eventually slumped down onto the floor losing hope of ever escaping.

I then shot up off the floor back at school. My head pounded from the beating I had received. "Shit... was that a dream? What the fuck..." I said to myself as I picked myself up from the bathroom floor
I headed out from the shithole of a school toward the local bus stop hoping there would be a bus running late at night. I pondered what could have caused such a vivid dream such as the one I had in the bathroom. Nothing came to mind.
