How We Met: Julie

Julie's P.O.V

Today the entire team was invited to go to the US's softball teams game and then a dinner afterwards. We were all 'assigned' a player from the other team that we would sit with and be spending time with during the dinner. At the game they have the guests of honor and for this game it was us. So before the game we got to go meet up with our assigned player so they could walk us out to introduce us to the crowd.

"Hi I am Jordan" my partner says once I go back to meet her before the game.

"Oh hi I'm Julie" I look at her crossing my arms and smiling.

"It's freezing back here I know" she gives me a look of sympathy and pats me on the shoulder in a friendly manner.

"It's sort of like the soccer games when you take the little kids hand so maybe I can keep, at least, your hand warm" she smiles holding out her hand and I take it seeing the other girls doing the same.

The best way to describe her hands were like these huge pillows, or blankets that engulf your own. She looks at me smiling before squeezing my hand as we began walking forward. As we step out she immediately looks at the crowd waving to the fans and smiling seeing her name on the signs. I smile at the fact that she did this rather than stressing the pre-game stresses.

The game was won by the US team with a score of 6-1. The entire team including us was on a bit of a high after the excitement of the game. This made them more excited for the dinner we had invited them to.

Before we could go to the dinner with them we had to go back to the hotel and change into more formal attire. I had followed my roommate Kelley to our room so we could change into our outfits. I decided on a black pencil skirt, which goes past my knees, with a red shirt tucked into the skirt and a black leather jacket with my hair in a bun. With that I wore a pair of black high heals.

"Dang girl you look good... but don't forget your money" Kelley says to me and I laugh at her before lifting my black wallet.

"Thanks for your concern but have you seen my necklace" I say referring to my gold necklace with a small empty diamond in the middle.

She begins putting on her shoes pointing to dresser which my necklace was on top of. I nod towards her before putting it on and walking out of the room. I checked my phone with a text saying that we need to hurry. Kelley ran out of the room and we eventually made it to the lobby where the rest of the team was waiting and we made our way to the bus.

After we got to the restaurant we made our way in and saw the team sitting waiting for us. We all saw our player and walked to them before sitting down. Once I sat by Jordan she smiled and shook my hand before being super polite and leading me to my chair and even pushing me in before sitting beside me.

"You look great" she said smiling looking me over and noticing my necklace and stopped wondering her eyes to look at it.

"Thank you" I say smile back at her.

"I love your necklace" she says and my first instinct was to grab it.

"Thanks, my mom always told me my soulmate would have a diamond necklace to fill this" I look down at it.

"No way" she says and I look up at her nodding and she pulls a necklace out of her shirt.

It was a gold diamond. The exact same size as mine.

(I pretty much loved this one sooo much but anyway after this Jordan and Julie keep and contact and text everyday then one day both teams are in the same town and the meet up and go on a date and would you look at that they are soulmates (if you believe in that stuff))
