Newt stood at the back of the group; squirming as he walked. Oh, why did he drink all his juice on the bus? Why couldn't he have just gone in with the other boys? Why was it taking so long for another break? He'd been waiting for over three hours to have one. Newt hadn't been able to enjoy all the animals they'd passed and they were coming up on his favourite: the lions. So far, his third grade field trip was shaping up to be the worst(and possibly the most embarrassing) one yet.

It would be even worse than the time in first grade when they went to the aquarium and he'd fallen into one of the tanks. Luckily, there were no animals, but it was still unpleasurable; floating there all alone with no ability to swim(his mum got him lessons after that). Or the time in second grade when his class had almost left him in the National History Museum because his buddy had left him in the bathroom. It was even worse than earlier in the year when they went to the local park and he'd spilled water all over his pants so it looked like he'd wet them. This time, he was actually going to wet his pants.

Great, he'd be wet and embarrassed in front of his entire class. Again. His mum would put him back in Pull-ups for sure. He hadn't been in Pull-ups since he was nearly four. Nonetheless, as his class gathered around to see the monkeys(his second favourite animal), Newt sat on one of the benches and crossed and uncrossed his legs. Minho, one of the class helpers, noticed the blond and his uncomfortable state and sat down next to the younger boy.

"Hey, buddy. What's wrong?" he asked. Newt, who couldn't contain his bladder for much longer and who trusted Minho, burst into tears.

"I-I'm going to wet my trousers!" he cried; quietly enough that his class couldn't hear him.

"What? Why? What happened?" Minho asked frantically. He'd become an aid because he loved kids, but he only had two younger sisters, Maiya and Anne, at home. He only knew about young boys from what his mom and his older brother, Ben, had told him, but Ben was in college so Minho's mother couldn't remember that much from when he was a kid.

"I didn't go when Tommy needed a break and I drank all my juice on the bus and I didn't think it would take over three hours to get another and I really need to go. Please," Newt rambled; stumbling over some of his words. The fourteen year old; startled by the situation, did the first thing that came to mind.

"I'll get Ms. Henderson," he answered; starting to get up until Newt tugged him back down by his sleeve.

"No! Please don't!" Newt begged; chocolate brown eyes shimmering with more tears. "The only reason I didn't go during the first break was 'cause I don't like everyone staring at me and watching me when I wee."

"Oh. Well, I can take you, if you want," Minho bargained.

"Okay." Newt stood and walked with Minho toward the exit.

"Minho, where are you going?" the teacher, Ms. Henderson, asked.

"I, um, I'm taking Newt to the front; he needs to call his mom," Minho lied.

"Okay. Hurry back, though, okay?"

"Okay," both boys said in unison. They walked out and across the zoo to where the bathrooms were.

"You told a lie," Newt whispered.

"It wasn't a lie. It was a bent truth," Minho answered.

"Okay." Newt started to go into the bathroom. "Will you wait out here for me?" he asked. Minho nodded.

"Of course."

-Time Skip-

When Newt came back out, Minho picked him up and the pair headed back to the third grade class.

"Newt, can I speak with you?" Ms. Henderson asked. Newt nodded and Minho let him down so the blond could talk to his teacher.

"You wanted to talk, Miss?" Newt asked hesitantly. The teacher patted the space on the bench beside her and Newt sat.

"Yes, I did. Did you really need to call your mom, Newt?" she replied. Newt shook his head; not wanting to lie.

"No, Miss. I needed to wee, but I didn't want you to call a break 'cause I don't like people watching me while I do," he admitted; looking down at his feet.

"You could've told me you needed the restroom. I would've had Minho take you," Ms. Henderson said.

"Really?" Newt asked; eyes wide as he looked at her.

"Really. Your mama told me about your shy bladder. It's nothing to be ashamed of, ya know. It happens to a lot of people. Even your brother."

"Really?" Newt couldn't believe that his older brother, Aris, had the same problem he did.

"You betcha. Now, let's go. We're going to the lions and then to the bus."

"Okay."

Sorry it's short; I thought of it earlier and wanted to write it. Kinda improvised a bit. Hope you like!
