Chapter Seven
Tessa's POV:
"Jonathan Lewis." I growled into the phone. I tried to do it quietly but Cara looked up at me and sent me a comforting smile. I went to my desk trying to keep my voice and emotions down but it was harder than it seemed.
Jaxon's POV:
"You seem like you're in a good mood. No bags under your eyes or anything." Tyler teased as I grabbed my schedule for the month of May. The end of the month was soon and I needed Tessa to get my schedule organized.
"I'm happy to be at work." I shrugged.
"Are you sure it's not because of a certain someone." He winked.
"No. I'm just happy after a great week." I said rolling my eyes. I left my office walking towards Tessa's desk. I stopped slowly listening to the heated conversation she had on the phone.
"John this is stupid I am not some piece of meat that you can hump anytime you want." She growled and I raised an eyebrow.
"Don't give me that baby bullshit. I am not your girlfriend. You seriously mean nothing to me. I'm not your booty call." She snapped.
"Oh yea? I faked all those orgasms!" She growled. I couldn't help but laugh slightly and she turned her tired blue eyes popping out of her head and her freckled cheeks turning a deep pink.
"Mr. Steele! Oh my God I am so sorry that was so unprofessional." She said putting her head in her hands.
"It's fine Tessa. For what it's worth he sounds like a douche." I said and she looked up cracking a smile.
"Uh how was the business trip? Successful I hope?" She asked.
Well yes it was. We killed the show.
"Uh yes it was very successful." I said.
"That's good, the uh...thing...with Kaitlyn and Chastity went...well." She said uncomfortably. I looked down and laughed uncomfortably.
"Uh yes...sorry about that. They did send a...glowing story about you."
"They were nice, picked out some lingerie, some dresses so tight that they can't bend down." She laughed.
"As I said, I'm sorry." I said laughing with her.
"I brought my schedule for May." I said changing the subject.
"Perfect I can start writing it in now." She smiled sitting down. I took that as my cue to leave and I turned walking back to my office.
Tessa's POV:
I clicked on my radio as I began filling in the monthly schedule for Jaxon.
"Now, the guys who rocked Soundwave last week, here is Legacy." The radio announcer said. I frowned listening to the lead mans' voice carefully.
"Wow...that sounds like Jaxon." I muttered to myself. I listened to the song fully and of course my curiosity got the best of me.
I made sure no one was coming and I opened Google typing in the word Legacy. Up popped a band of five fairly attractive men. They were all covered in tattoos and black and brown hair.
"An emo band?" I muttered scrolling through more of the pictures. None were up close but from afar the lead singer looked a lot like Jaxon.
"Connor Hale..." I muttered confused. Soundwave was last week running from the days Jaxon was on 'business'.
"You have to be a fucking idiot to not be able to see the resemblance." I murmured to myself.
"Tessa?" Jaxon called from away. I quickly closed the browser and turned.
"Tyler brought some coffee you look like you could use some." He offered.
"Really? Of course thank you." I smiled standing up. I followed after him and I glanced at the back of his neck seeing a small black mark, it looked like the other part of it was covered.
Jaxon is definitely hiding something...
And I swear to God my investigation skills make me look like fucking Sherlock Holmes.
