Chapter Eighteen
Tessa's POV:
"Is that a hickey!?" Vic screamed while pointing wildly at my neck. I quickly clamped a hand over her mouth and looked around.
"I don't need the whole building knowing you dimwit." I said and she stopped.
"Jaxon Steele gave you a mother f.ucking hickey!?" She whispered and I couldn't stop the huge grin that came across my face, I nodded and her eyes went wide.
"You do realize you are dating the most eligible, rich, bachelor in New York? Who also happens to be a sexy, rock God?" She smiled and I nodded while stapling a few papers together.
"He is really sweet Vic. He's like a big teddy bear- I just want to cuddle him." I explained.
"Yea I could do without his friends." She said rolling her eyes.
"Ash? What's wrong with him he is like head over heels in love with you and you just met him."
"Exactly! It's f.ucking creepy and he is just in love with my body." She said. I glanced behind her to see Jaxon walking down.
"Jax is coming this is probably your cue to head out." I said and she nodded.
"Alright I'm off, I'm going shopping. Hey Jaxon." She said turning to leave.
"It's Tuesday. You don't work?" Jax asked and she shrugged.
"I work for my dad. That huge lawyer you see everywhere? That's him." She said exiting through the doors.
"So she doesn't work...?" Jax asked confused as I continued to staple some pages.
"Her dad barely calls her in and when he does she works from like nine am to two. She lives in a gorgeous condo down the street." I explained.
"Oh, well good for her. Listen, we leave tomorrow morning at nine." He stated and I followed him with a pen and notepad.
"Tomorrow at nine? For what?" I asked.
"Princess I told you we are going to Bora Bora for business." He said.
"Business or a concert?" I asked.
"No the Warped tour is not for another two weeks." He assured.
"What's a Warped tour?" I asked confused.
"Baby girl you have to get out more. It's a large tour with a lot of different bands and skate boarding and all that jazz." He said.
"And where is this?"
"Sunny California." He smiled.
"You like the sun I take it." I said.
"I really enjoy the sun, yes; and now you can wear all the sexy clothes I bought you. It's perfect." He said staring out the window.
"Focus on the music, bud." I laughed.
"Oh by the way, here." He said. He tossed a white box my way and I fumbled it slightly.
"Jaxon! What if I dropped this?" I hissed.
"Is that how you talk to your boss?" He smirked.
"A phone? I have a phone." I said.
"That brick that barely works? Stop, my baby girl deserves the best." He said. I groaned and shook my head and he tsk-ed.
"Miss Van Ryck, what is with the attitude this morning?" He asked and I sighed while straightening my shoulders. I smiled sweetly at him.
"My apologies, Mr. Steele." I said batting my lashes at him and his mouth opened slightly.
"I will be at my desk." I said innocently. I walked back to my desk and opened the white box and desperately tried to work this device.
"How the hell do I even work this? It's like a little space ship." I said flipping it around.
"Where does the SIM card go?" I asked and I finally found the small slot to put it in.
"I'm the biggest dumba.ss on the planet. That was so easy." I muttered, while finishing setting it up. I placed the pink phone down and got to work on planning Jaxon's schedule that he just sent me.
