Tessa's POV:
"How did she get in touch with you!? How did you let her?" I asked as we walked into Jaxon's house.
"Nice house Jaxon." My father commented.
"Thank-you, sir."
"Dad, this is serious! Why would you let that woman near you?" I asked.
"I didn't let her near me, Tessa. She contacted me during my time. I didn't give her any information."
"And why does she all of a sudden want to see you and me? She walked out on us and left nothing of her."
"Look Tessa, you're a grown woman. You have a job and you are starting a family. She wanted me to ask you if you would like to see her. I'm not telling you to do anything."
"Listen old man, you tell her that I don't want anything to do with her. The day she walked out was the day she threw everything behind her." I snapped.
"Alright, Tessa. I will let her know." He smiled and I sighed heavily.
"I'm sorry dad. I just have no respect for her." I admitted.
"I know how you feel. I will do my best to try and tell her to stay away." He assured.
"Thank you. I need to go lay down." I muttered heading for the stairs.
I changed into some comfortable attire and laid back on Jaxon's bed and placed my hands on my stomach.
Soon Jaxon came in and he changed as well before sitting at my feet. He began rubbing them and I smiled happily.
"Say it, I'm an a.sshole right?" I asked and he looked up and raised an eyebrow at me.
"I know you're thinking it. I should give my mom a chance."
"I'm not thinking anything. It's all up to you. I'm not going to control you and tell you what you should do. You're your own person and your mom walked out on you. She doesn't deserve to see you, but then again it's up to you if you want to see her." He said staring literally into my soul.
"Don't do that." I groaned.
"Do what?" He chuckled.
"Stare into my soul with your pretty blue eyes. Who do you think you are?" I asked and he tossed his head back and laughed.
"I'm not doing anything. We are discussing a topic."
"My dad says she looks like me. A face splattered wth freckles and dark blue eyes." I said shaking my head.
"And what's wrong with that?"
"I don't want to be anything like her, I don't want any ties to her. Yet, I look like her."
"Just think, if she wasn't with your father then you wouldn't be here. She did do one thing right. You're gorgeous and you know that."
"Thanks man." I smiled.
"You're welcome buddy. I ordered some of that hot food you enjoy." He said.
"Rotisserie chicken and wedges?" I asked excitedly.
"Yes, your dad is staying for dinner and then he is going to head back to your apartment."
"My apartment? That shoe box is so small."
"He said it's an upgrade from the hard spring beds he was originally sleeping on."
I carefully sat up and Jaxon helped me.
"We need to go get some furniture soon." I pointed out.
"Sex furniture?" He teased.
"Baby furniture!" I laughed.
