Sorry I didn't update. I've been a lazy bum, and things get excited when the Super Bowl is being held thirty minutes away from where you live.
The Super Bowl is like the championship game between two teams for the grand trophy in American Football, for those of you who might not know.
The Panthers lost. I was hoping for them to win, since they haven't won one, and almost none of them have had Super Bowl experience.
So, yeah. If you're wondering, this chapter and the last will sorta be a way to fill in time before the whole real shebang happens.
So I guess you could say they're fillers.
My retainer makes my teeth hurt like hell. WHY, ORTHODONTIST MAN?!?!?! MY RETAINER AND I WERE GETTING ALONG PERFECTLY FOR OVER A YEAR, THEN YOU GO AND RUIN IT!!!!
But I did get apple cider.
READ ON, MY LITTLE MIDGETS!!!!!!!!!!

Percy POVPaul brought us in the house unsteadily, and a familiar voice rang through the halls. "Paul? Who's there?"
It was my mom, standing in the living room. "Oh, Percy! Annabeth! You didn't tell us you were coming! That's quite rude manners, to show up at someone's house without telling them! Who are these people?" She gushed, gesturing to the security guards. You see, I've been in "trouble" so many times, that she doesn't even get that surprised when random people show up at our house.
"Hi Mom! Uh . . . these are . . . ," I struggled. "What are your names again?"
"We have nametags, boy," one said.
"We have dyslexia, so it's kinda hard to make it out," I replied.
"That didn't seem to be much of a problem in the lobby," the other said.
"I was lucky then," I snapped back.
"Okay, the names don't matter," Paul, my mom, and Annabeth said at once. "But where are they from, dear?" Mom asked.
"Uh, they're from Avengers Tower, Sally," Annabeth stepped in. I braced myself for the worst, but I only heard one, expected gasp.
"Avengers Tower? How did you get there?" Mom asked, rather confused. Paul, on the other hand, looked like he wanted to faint but was fighting to stay conscious, and the effort was causing him to be silent.
"Well. . . ." I scratched the back of my head. "It's kinda hard to explain."
Of course, Annabeth decided to show me up. "S.H.I.E.L.D invaded camp and took us all to Avengers Tower, and we've been there since. I don't know what caused them to, though. They interrogated a few of us."
Mom looked even more confused. "What's S.H.I.E.L.D? How did they get past the border?"
"We don't know how they got past the border, and S.H.I.E.L.D is a secret sort of government association. It stands for 'Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division'", Annabeth informed.
"How the heck did you find out what it stood for, let alone memorize it?" I demanded.
"Oh, the guy mentioned it in the interview. And it's quite easy to memorize. As easy as australopithecus afarensis," she answered quite obviously.
"Austra what?" I asked.
Mom interrupted our little conversation, "Are they treating you okay? Are you guys okay?"
"I'm fine, except for the fact that I woke up from an extremely short coma this morning," I said casually. Then, once again, I braced myself for the worst.
"PERSEUS JACKSON YOU WILL EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THAT HAPPENED!" Mom screeched.
"You're reminding me of the Roman tattoo incident," I grumbled.
"Sally, he lost his sea powers," Annabeth bluntly threw out. Way to get me in even more trouble, Annabeth.
"WHAT?!" Mom screamed.
"I believe we're facing another evil god, and this one has the power to take away another's powers, so this one's even more deadly. But, if this god took away Percy's powers, that means he has reason to fear them, which means that demigods can defeat him," Annabeth told her.
"Well, how do you know this god is male? Have you gotten a prophecy?" My mom peppered us with even more questions.
"Well, I believe we met him a few months ago at Central Park, and yeah, we have gotten a prophecy," Annabeth replied.
"You met him!? How?!"
"Ah . . . Percy, you want to explain?" Annabeth said, shifting around.
"Okay . . ?" I answered. "Annabeth, a few friends, and I went to Central Park to have a picnic, when I supposedly bolted upright and started running in a direction. I didn't stop until I arrived at the biggest lake in the park, and my friends had followed me. These people who looked like the Avengers - you know, the people that had saved New York - showed up too. The water started rising up and it formed this tall figure, about ten feet tall. He basically told us about how he wanted to kill Greeks and Romans and claim the sea for himself."
"Well, that's not good news," Mom said nervously.
"We kind of figured," I replied.
"Is there anything else you wanted to tell me?" Mom asked.
"No, not really Sally, except for the fact that Percy's alive," Annabeth told her.
"Tyson will be here shortly, so you can stay," she replied, and looked over at Paul. "Dear, I think you should sit down."
Paul, who had not said a word during this conversation, sat down a little weak. The oven started beeping, and my mother jumped a little. "Oh, goodness! Those are the cookies!" She hurried into the small kitchen of ours and emerged a few minutes later, carrying a tray of blue cookies. "Don't touch them, they're still hot. I can get some orange juice."
"That'd be perfect, Mom!" I exclaimed, delighted by the cookies. Mom went back in the kitchen and came back with a pitcher of OJ and some cups. She set them down on the coffee table, and we all sat on the couches. Mom poured us each a glass.
"So how's life been for you two?" She asked casually.
"Well, I just woke up from a faint coma, and I was supposed to rest after, but instead I cleaned my room-"
My mother and Paul both spat the orange juice out of their mouths and yelled in unison, "YOU DID WHAT?!"
"It's really not as hard as I thought it to be, if you just think about other stuff, you know?" I could hear Annabeth snickering beside me at Paul and my mom's reaction.
Laughing with family and friends is probably the greatest gift I can get.

I wanted to put more, but I also wanted to get this chapter out.
