Chapter 4 - Getting back

I drove down the curving road as the rain started to drizzle. It had looked like it was going to rain all day. I loved the rain it was calming.

The road seemed to stretch on forever. I felt I was lost. But soon enough, I came upon my apartment and pulled my Jeep into my garage. I climbed out of the car and unlocked my door. I walked inside and Glen greeted me with lots of kisses. I closed my garage and my door. Glen and I walked over to the fridge to get some food but when I opened it I realized I hadn't bought an grocery's yet!

"Ugh." I groaned looking down at Glen. "I guess I should see if I packed any food for the trip down here." I suggested.

I walked over to my bag I left by the front door that we hadn't unpacked. Luckily, I found some pretzels in the bag along with a granola bar.

"Score." I cheered showing, Glen who whinnied.

"Ok , ok I'll get you your food too." I walked over to his bowl of food that was now empty. I poured in his dog food and got him some new water in his water bowl. He immediately chowed down on his food.

I walked up stairs to my bedroom and put on some PINK grey sweat pants and a black sweat shirt along with some fuzzy socks. I put my hair up into a bun and washed my face to get all of the grime and makeup off.

I walked back down the stairs and Glen was sitting atop a rolled up blanket like princess and the pea. I grabbed my pretzels and granola bar and walked over to him. I sat down and turned on the TV and signed into my Netflix account. I found a movie that I wanted to watch and we sat there together.

I have never been able to fall asleep during a movie so I sleepily stayed up through it all. Once the movie was over, I got up and grabbed Glen. I walked upstairs with him in my arms, making sure I turned off everything first.

I got to my bed and put Glen down, who immediately curled into a ball by the pillows. I turned off the light, plugged in my phone and plopped my self onto the bed.

'What a day,' I thought, 'What a day.'
