"Allen?" I ask, shocked.

He answers with a big grin, not words. He fucking scared me though!

"W-what are you doing out here?" I ask, my shivers making my voice waver.

"I was just taking a walk and I recognized you, so I followed you." He explains with a slight smile.

"Um, why were you all the way out here?" I ask, questioning myself on that answer too.

"Why are you all the way out here?" He asks with a smirk.

"I asked you first." I say childishly.

"But I could ask you the same thing." He says.

"True..."

"Want to walk with me?" He asks, taking my hand in his.

"Sure."

We walk along the deserted road but I stop, struggling to put my knife away. Allen's eyes before glued to the sharp blade in my hand, almost as if he knows how dangerous it can be in a skilled thrower's hands.

"Can I see that?" Allen asks, referring to the knife.

I'm not really comfortable around an armed person unless I have my knife too. But it's just Allen, he wouldn't do anything, right? I shakily hand the dagger to Allen who inspects it carefully, running his finger gently over the sharp blade. The knife is so sharp that it could practically cut through the air. At least, that's what it sounds like ans looks like when it's flying straight towards you.

"That's sharp." He says, flipping the blade as he almost cuts his finger.

He hands me back my knife and I let out a small breath of relief. I shove the blade in my pocket and connect our hands once again. His fingers are warm against mine, sending tingles of heat up my arm. I shiver as the wind hits me and Allen stops in his tracks. He takes off his hoodie and slips it on me, the fabric big but warm. Now, he only stands in a black t-shirt, his arms bare and susceptible to the cold.

"Thank you, but aren't you cold?" I ask worriedly.

He could get frost bite.

"No, I'm fine. You need it more than me." He reassures me and takes my hand in his again.

We walk in a comfortable silence, hand in hand, down the trail. Until he speaks.

"Hey, um I was wondering... Are you free tomorrow night?" He asks awkwardly, catching me off guard.

I think to myself, running through my schedule. The party is the day after tomorrow so the day is free.

"Yeah, I'm free. Why?" I ask.

"Well, I was kind of wondering if you would go on a date with me?" He asks while looking at his feet.

"Sure." I say with a smile.

"Really?" He looks up at me.

"Yeah, I'll go."

"That's great!" He says very enthusiastically.

I just giggle. Allen unties a second hoodie from his waist and slips it on. I shake my head in amusement and he pulls the grey hood up over his head. He takes my hand and squeezes it, walking forward. An animal calls out and I jump, releasing his hand to grab my knife.

"Woah, it's ok. It's just an owl, look." He says, pointing to a tree.

I put a knife away when I see a brown and white owl staring down at me, its yellow eyes wide. I control my breathing and continue to walk forward through the dark woods. Something is bothering me though.
