Three Familiar Faces

A small girl stands in front of me, she has dark hair and tan skin. She looks so tiny, so young and so innocent. I recognize her from somewhere. I feel the slick knife in my hand and the breathing of another down the nape of my neck. I shudder, goosebumps forming from their warm breath. I turn to face the person, his tall figure standing far above me. I crane my neck to see his stone hard gaze meet mine. I take a step back but immediately regret it.

"Kill her." He orders sternly.
"B-but-" I try to reason.
"I said, kill her." He says icily.
"Sir, she's-"
"I said to fucking kill her! Now obey your orders or else!" He yells in my face.
"Yes sir." I say meekly.

I grip the knife in my hand harder and stand, ready to kill. The small girl cowers in my presence, reminding me how much of an effect I have on her now. I don't want to kill her, she's to young for this. Hell, she's too young to even look at a knife. I raise my knife in slow motion, the blade dragging through the heavy air. I sigh, begging for forgiveness but I know none will be given. I've been down this road far too many times and this is no different from the other scenarios. Suddenly, right before I throw, my vision flashes. Two more figures appear before my eyes. I recognize them in an instant; Finnick and Allen.

"Kill them too." Says a gruff voice behind me.

I look at Finnick's tear streaked face. His cheeks are red and he purses his lips, probably trying not to cry. I look down, ashamed. I have to kill my best friend. He's been there my whole life but now I have to turn on him. He doesn't get to live but I do? That's not fair. His piercing, sea green eyes stare at me in a pleading manner, begging me without words. Allen on the other hand looks at his feet. His normally brown eyes are now red and puffy, a few tears spilling from them every now and then. He looks up at me and sniffles. He starts to open his mouth to speak but catches eye of the intimidating man behind me and shuts it.

I look back at Finnick to see that he's still looking at me. After a few seconds, I see him mouth something to me. His lips form the word 'please.' My heart shatters right then and there as a small tear slips down his cheek. I long to wipe it away but I know I can't, the man behind me would kill me in a second. I wouldn't make it two steps without a bullet in my back. I wipe a hot liquid off of my cheek and look at the knife in my hand.

"Kill them. I'm giving you twenty seconds." The man orders behind me.
"Please sir-"
"Now. Twenty, nineteen..."

I raise my knife and mouth 'I'm so sorry' to both Finnick and Allen. The little girl in the middle of them stares at me, begging me to stop. I almost do but the man pushes me forward roughly with his hand. I wince at his touch and stiffen my body, grabbing two more knives from my jacket. One for each of them. I take a mental picture of my unwanted targets before closing my eyes and shooting from memory. Something at the back of my mind is nagging at me though. I know that girl from somewhere. She looks so familiar, almost like me.

"Fourteen, thirteen, twelve..." The man still counts down out loud.

I sigh, breathing in the air. I can already feel my chest closing up and my lungs giving out.

"Nine, eight, seven..."

"Please!" I beg but counts over me.

"Five, four, three..."

I open my eyes quickly to see both of the boys tensed up, ready for impact. I sigh and fairs all three of the knives, one in my left hand and two in my right. I plan to throw them at the same time, if possible.
