Getting bigger

Scott pov

Vincent has gotten a lot bigger in the couple of months I've had him. All the books I've been reading says that he's past his toddler stage. The book also said that this is about the age where they first start learning to hunt. I've been hunting for him so I'll have to teach him, which will be interesting.

Vincent pov

I curled up on Scott's lap. I just can't get what that man said out of my head. He called me "thing" and "monster".

Am I really a monster? Scott said I wasn't. I don't want to be. I don't want people to be afraid of me.

Scott pov

Something seems to be bothering Vincent. I don't want him to be upset.

"You ok?" I asked.

Vincent didn't answer. He always answers me. I began to worry.

Is something wrong? Is he sick? Does he not like me anymore? Does he miss his naga family?

Before I could have anymore thoughts Vincent nudged me with his horns gently. ((A/N he he good for you Scotty)) My eyes widened.

Please let that mean he's marking me as family!!!!!!

Vincent pov

I nudged Scott.

He's mine. Only mine. No one else can have him now that I've claimed him. The next time that man Scott yelled at comes around, I'm biting him. He made my Scotty upset.

I coiled myself around Scott's legs and fell asleep.

Scott pov

I sighed. Vincent was already asleep on my lap. That's his favorite place to sleep.

Surely he thinks of me as family. He wouldn't mark me as a potential mate, would he? I've been taking care of him like his parents would have been. He couldn't possibly see me as a mating interest.

I looked down at him.

He's so calm for a naga. He's only hissed at me two times. Nagas generally have a hating for humans. Maybe Vincent is different because I'm taking care of him. I just hope he doesn't turn against me.
