Hoodie's pov~
I had my music blaring in the speakers to keep me awake along with a coffee. I was tired but I didn't want to take my sweet time on finding this girl. I then saw a motel. I was tired out of my mind already from driving for forty eight hours, only to stop for gas. I went in and pulled my suitcase behind me.
"E-excuse me m-miss?" I stammer. She looks at me and gives me a sweet smile.
"Hello sir." She exclaimed cheerfully.
"I-I need a r-room p-please." I fumble with my fingers. She hands me a key and I pull out my wallet to pay the price.
"For how long sir?" She asks softly.
"J-just a d-day miss."
"Twenty please."
I dig through my wallet and eventually pull out a twenty. I hand it to her with a shaky hand and gripped onto the handle of my suitcase tightly. She hands me a key and I race to my room. I fumble with the door for a minute then finally got in. I set my suitcase down and flopped onto a bed, instantly falling asleep.Luna's pov~
"See, we could have an argument about toast right now and you wouldn't care." Aaron started.
"Actually we could but I'd rather we not." I grumble and cross my arms.
"Do you remember how my cousin Abbie and I had a full on argument about ducks, toilets and toast?" Aaron chuckled.
"Hell yea I do." I giggle.
Abbie was his cousin that was only a year younger than us. She was a junior but she never really talked to us except for at lunch where she'll sit with us. She isn't in any of our classes so we don't get to talk much but boy do both of us like teasing Aaron.
"I still can't believe you two had that conversation." I add and Aaron chuckles.
"I know. It was freaking hilarious too." He agreed. Then the bell for lunch rang.
"Race you to the cafeteria." I grin.
"You're on." We then race out.
"Hey! You kids!" A teacher yelled for us. We freeze in mid air and turn slowly.
"Yes...?" We say at the same time.
"Stop running in the halls!" She snapped at us. We nod without responding and fast walk away. We kept making comments like "I'm gonna beat you" or "In your dreams bitch" while fast walking to the cafeteria. We got in and stood in the line. Once we got our food trays, we went to the very back and sat there. Abbie soon sat with us with her usual bright smile.
"What up nerds?" She asks and sets her tray down.
"What up bitch." Aaron shrugs and takes a sip of his apple juice.
"Damn bitch. You don't have to be rude." Abbie crosses her arms.
"You both don't have to be bitches. God you two are horrible cousins." I say and start eating my sandwich.
"We're all bitches here." Aaron chuckles.
"Yep. Let's be bitches." Abbie and I agree.Hoodie's pov~
I returned the key to my room and dragged my suitcase to the car. I'm two days in and in two days I should be in Colorado. Ben has called me twice to check up on me but there was no real conversation. I got into the car and started the engine when my phone rang. I answer and wait a second.
"Hoodie here." I say.
"Hey Hoods." I heard Masky say through the phone.
"Masky!" I say a bit louder.
"How has it been so far?"
"It's going fine. I'm loading up again and I'll be on my way." I inform him.
"Where are you?"
"In about two hours, I'll be crossing the border into Colorado. Can you give me a city?"
"She lives in...damn whats it?" He asks in frustration.
"How many miles and what direction?" I ask flatly.
"I'll send you a map of where to go alright?" Masky asks.
"Yea. That's fine."
"Make sure not to get sick, dehydrated, or anything."
"Masky, I'll be fine. When was the last time I've gotten sick exactly?" I cock an eyebrow and put the car in reverse.
"Don't remember. Fine but just be safe Hoods." Masky says softly.
"I promise. Update me on what goes on back at the mansion."
"Can do. Here's your update right now, Jeff got in huge trouble and might be banned from the mansion for a while."
"That damn kid. I don't understand why Slender won't put him out of his misery." I mumble.
"Me neither. I have to go though. Toby is coming this way." Masky said hurridly.
"Bye Masky."
"Bye Hoods." Then he hung up. I back out all the way(I had the car in reverse already mind you) and soon got out onto the intersection. Today was going to be a long day. I turned up my music again and one of my favorite songs came on, Love like war from All Time Low. I turned up the song even more and started to sing with it softly.
"Hearts on fire tonight! Feel my bones ignite! Feels like war! War! Feels like war! War! Hearts on fire tonight! Feel my bones ignite! Feels like war! War! Feels like war! War! We go together or we don't go down at all!" I kept singing along until I saw traffic being stopped. I honked my horn a couple times along with other people when I saw some people running away. I hop out of my car, memorizing where it's located, and ran to the source. I ran up through the crowd of fleeing pedestrians and saw a big black animal. Nothing like I've ever seen. And I probably will have to fight it too. I run back to my car and pull out my knives and my gun along with extra bullets. I ran back to where the creature was and ran at it. It saw me and screeched an unnatural and distorted screech. I stabbed a couple times at its legs but it never fell over. It only screamed in agony. I growl and jumped up but it swatted me away with its large tail. I thought I saw stars for a second when I hit the wall of a building but I quickly got up. I ran at it again and stabbed in its throat. It made a watery screech and black blood poured from its mouth. I then went for the other side and slit its throat. It gurgled and choked on its blood but then, black strings of flesh and other unnatural things strung together and fixed its wounds. I stood there for a second, in shock but quickly run at it again. I stabbed it where the heart was and it screamed like crazy. I push it in deeper until my hand was almost through its chest and pulled my knife out quickly. It gave one more cry before turning into black bones and dust. I pant for a minute and catch my breath. Holy shit.
