Team 13 is bad luck bruises

I sat in my seat anticipating the verbal commitment I would have to face with a team of me and two other people. I was shaking my legs hoping I could be with Nagato. Iruka-sensei was calling off names left and right and he still hadn’t mentioned my name.

“Next, team 13 will be…” Iruka sensei started. If he didn’t say something fast then I knew my heart would beat out of my chest.

“Mika… Nagato… and Sasuke,” He finished.

“They put all three of us on a team? I think the leaf village will be burnt down by the time we’re chunin!” Sasuke chuckled.

We all yelled “WHOO!” at the same time and had a three way high five. We waited for our sensei and the other teams had left. We had been sitting in the classroom for a solid hour and I was getting bored. Nagato and Sasuke were talking about some ninja tools and such while I doodled on my notebook.  I was drawing stick ninjas fighting. Then the door to classroom slowly opened and a white haired jounin walked in to the classroom and he turned his attention to us.

“Wow, you guys are my team huh? Well my first impression of you all is that you seem like a strong team of genin. It will be hard to break you guys down, follow me to the roof,” Our sensei spoke.

We all walked quietly to the rooftop of the school building, Sensei ahead of us and me walking in between Sasuke and Nagato.  Our sensei sat at the railing and we sat at the steps.

“Well since we are a starting team and it seems all of you are comfortable with each other, I want you to tell me a little about yourselves,” Our sensei said. “But first I’ll go, I’m Kakashi Hatake, I like and hate several things, I have dreams and that’s basically it.

“Well that was simple,” I thought.

“Okay, sounds easy!” I replied to him.

“All right so we’ll start with you Blue,” Sensei said.

“Hmph,” I started. “I’m Mika Zutusa, I like the color green and I enjoy hanging out with Nagato, Sasuke, Naruto, Tachi-sama, and my big brother. I want to grow up and become an anbu black ops and protect the hidden leaf village, if I can’t achieve my dream I want become a sensei!” I stated excitedly.

“It seems like you have high hopes for your dreams young girl,” Kakashi replied.

“I DO!” I giggled. I liked this sensei already.

“All right next?”

“I’m Nagato, I like play with Mika-chan and Sasuke-san. I want to be strong to protect those close to me. That basically describes who I am,” Nagato said less timidly than he usually is.

“Very interesting, next?”

“I’m Sasuke Uchiha, I like the same things as Nagato, training and working hard with my big brother. My dream is to protect my loves one and become a highly ranked ninja over the years and master as many skills as I can!” Sasuke exclaimed excitedly.

“Well we have a very nice team set up here, tomorrow morning I would like you guys to report to the training grounds so we can start on our training. Oh, and don’t eat unless you want to have it come back in a different form,” Sensei stated firmly.

We all stood up, and bowed.

“Yes sensei,” we all said in unison.

“Such respectful kids,” with that Sensei had vanished.

The next morning I only had half a piece of toast. No matter what you were never supposed to skip breakfast no matter what. While I was walking towards the training grounds, I felt as if someone was following me. I turned around and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, everyone was minding their own business. I continued to walk and still feeling this presence following me.  I decided to ignore it and continue to the training grounds, right on time to meet up with To-san and  Sasuke.  You could still see the sleep in their eyes.  Once I had reached them, I sat under the tree in the shade and Sasuke sat to my left, and Nagato on my right. Sasuke leaned on my shoulder and yawned.

“Hey, Sasuke get off of Mika-chan! She’s my pillow!” Nagato whined.

“Well to bad she’s my pillow right now,” Sasuke’s snarky reply made Nagato very agitated.

Nagato pulled my arm, making me fall into his chest and Sasuke fall on the floor. I started blushing and I looked up into Nagato’s eyes. I could see the protection and a bit of jealousy in his eyes. Once he recovered, Sasuke pulled my other arm making me fall into his chest, but I didn’t blush when he did. Nagato pulled my arm again.

“Mike-chan is my pillow!” To-san yelled at Sasuke.

“No she’s mine!” Sasuke yelled back pulling my again.

They both continue to pull my arms and fighting over who could lay on me.

“GUYS YOU’RE GOING TO RIP ME IN HALF!” I screamed trying to get their attention, but they wouldn’t listen to me.

“Well it seems that little Mika has become a prized toy between Sasuke and Nagato,” Kakashi sensei said as he was standing a few feet away from us.

“Help!?” I asked him.

“Nagato you and Sasuke let Mika go,”

“But sensei!” they whined in unison.

“NOW!” Kakashi demanded fiercely.

They let go and I stood up quickly and ran up to Kakashi hugging him tightly around his waist. He didn’t hesitate to hug me back.

“Now, both of you apologize to Mika.”

“We’re sorry Mika-chan.”

“It’s okay guys,” I said and smiled at them.

“Mika let me see your arm,” Kakashi asked.

“Huh?”

He grabbed my left arm and stared at the bruises that were forming in the shape of a fingers. That was the arm that Nagato was grabbing on to…
