Mountains and Battle Cries - Hunter's P.O.V
The first thing I found out about her: She is clumsy. Well she walked right into me but I suppose it was nothing compared to me. The second thing I realized once I saw her was that maybe, just maybe, I had a thing for her.
“Umm, thi-this pie is nice” I manage to say with little courage. She had an intimidating presence, it wasn’t over controlling but you could instantly tell she was a leader.
“Thanks, my mum made it” She replies. “But you already… knew…. That”.
There wasn’t much sound after that other than forks scraping on plates. I’m actually surprised how much mum managed to unpack in the short amount of time. There were still boxes left, including the ones we were sitting on but other than that most things were unpacked… And this meant bubblewrap everywhere. I am usually quite mature but once I see the smallest piece of that addictive stuff, I go crazy.
“Mum. Is that what I think it is?” I yell with excitement.
Before mum gets to reply brooke yells out “BUBBLEWRAP?!”
She gives me a mischievous look over the table. I smirk at her and I know we are thinking the same thing.
“Oh no. No, no, no.” Mum worriedly say.
But it was too late. Me and Brooke dove across the room and belly flopped on top of a giant pile of the stuff. I laugh as the sound of popping drowns out my mums yelling. There is no stopping us once we’re in the zone. Me and brooke are rolling around and I laugh as she does an impressive warrior call. The popping is slowing down and I hear my mum more clearly. I sit up and see some more empty boxes upstairs. I quickly charge towards the stairwell. I only managed to get up three steps before I fall on my face. I hear Brookes laugh echo through the house. She points at me but then her smile fades when she realizes what I’m doing.
“OH NO YOU DON’T. NOT ON MY WATCH MISTER” she yells.
Suddenly Brooke Wheeler is not shy at all. She did mean it when she said she was outgoing. I stumble to my feet and run up the last few stairs. Having one more trick up my sleeve I run into where my new room is. Quickly, I rummaged through the first box in search for my light saber. No luck. Second box I see it there. I grab it out and quietly hide behind the door. I can hear Brooke scream through the hallways “COME OUT, COME OUT WHEREEVER YOU ARE”. Waiting until she is entering the room, I jump out and open my light saber. Being the nerd I am I yell at the top of my voice, “This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of Kenobi, and will soon see the end of the rebellion!” Brookes laugh once again echoes as she flops onto a pile of bubblewrap. I flop down next to her and for a moment we just lie there.
A few minutes later she gets up and hold out her hand to me. I grab it and she hulls me out of the bubble wrap mountain.
“We should finish this battle sometime.” She says with a giant smile on her face.
“Just so you know, im not usually this crazy” I reply as she heads down the hallway.
She turns her head around the corner and says with complete confidence “Well just so YOU know, I usually am”.
And with that she was gone. The Last thing I found out about Brooke Wheeler: She is absolutely bonkers and I love it.
