Fashion / Style
I don't think I've ever had a style of my own, but I'm still young. I'm only 17.. I feel like I got a lot of the same fashion sense / taste in clothes as my sister. It's nice to grow up with an older sister because I got a lot of her old clothes when I could still fit in them. I can't anymore, I'm a lot taller than her. And when I look back at old pictures of us and see what I wore when I was like five years old. They are absolutely horrible.. but at that time they were good and most importantly they were practical / comfortable.
I am still discovering who I am right now and who I want to be. But I feel like I'm getting there. I always used to have a lot of comfortable clothes in my wardrobe, like leggings and sweaters, I still have because why not. When I'm in a rush or I just don't feel like dressing up, a pair of leggings are the best. In my opinion at least. Also, my go to hairstyle is just a ponytail because it's quick and easy to do and I don't really like having hair in my face when I'm at school because I have a lot of writing to do.
I am finally figuring out what kind of style (clothing) I like.. I have a lot of black, which I like of course. I don't really consider myself as just a hipster or any other thing.. It's more a combination of urban / hipster / bohemian / hippie / comfortable. I like girly stuff, like skirts and dresses, but then only how they look on other people.. I don't like wearing them. You usually just see me in a pair of jeans, probably high waist, and a t-shirt with a cardigan or my denim jacket / bomber jacket.
I also just don't give a damn anymore about what people think of my style and how I look. I like it, I have to wear so they just have to deal with it. And if you don't want to, that's fine but don't go hating on me because why do you care so much..
For hair, like I said I usually just wear a ponytail.. I'm used to it, because if I have my hair down for a long time I get a headache. It's weird, I know, but that just the way it is.
I do want to start wearing different hairstyles and learn how to do those things. And right now I'm on a break from school, for a week. And in this week I am just going to try and practice a lot of different hairstyles.
I also want to dye my hair platinum blonde / grey.. I just don't know if it will fit me. I'm kind of pale and have blue eyes.. my original hair color is brown.. But when I have the money for it I am just going to do it. I really don't care if my parents approve or not.
I normally don't wear makeup, because If I would I'd be late for school. If I do wear makeup I just go for eyeliner and mascara. Fact: I've never worn foundation before.. I would like to have a foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, contour, highlighter, blush and all the stuff for eyes and lips. But first of, it's kind of expensive if you want to have the good stuff and secondly, I have no idea what shade of foundation I need. Probably the lightest shade there is.
I've watched enough tutorials about makeup and hair that I would know how to do it... I think I'm going to buy makeup soon and just try it out. I would never wear a lot of makeup to school, simply because it takes too much time and I would like to go all out for special occasions.
Tell me what you think about makeup. If you have any suggestions for hairstyles, let me know and I would like to know your style!
