Why'd you come back? (Rev! Edd x Kevin) (ON HOLD)

Chapter 16

((A/N Quick: In the beginning I'll just write the very end of Chapter 15 so you all don't need to go back and reread it to see where we left off okok))

Damn, I can never get a break! I pick up my phone and press 'answer', "Hello?" 
"Hey Edd. It's Kevin."
"Kevin? How did you get my phone number?"
"I have my ways..."
"That's not weird at all. Ha ha ha."
"Might be a little weird, I can see that." He chuckled a bit, "Anyways, can I come over? My parents are arguing downstairs, I'm hiding out in my room but I can still hear them arguing and it's stressing me out."
"Oh, yeah, you can come over. I don't mind." I felt bad for him, I couldn't say no.
"Thanks, I owe you one."
"You sure do." And with that, I hung up.

   //Chapter 16
(Kevin's POV)
  I heard the small 'beep' and then the static over the phone showing that Edd had hung up, so I turn off my phone and shove it in a bag. I'm not sure how long I can stay at Edd's house. Or even if I'll stay overnight, so I pack an extra pair of clothes just in case, jeans, a T-shirt, boxers, and socks. I get a few more things I may need and shove them along with everything else into the bag.

   I get past my parents easily without them noticing because they are too engaged with their fighting to notice and make my way out the door. I jogged across the street and walked up to Edd's front door and rang the doorbell. A few moments later the door opened to reveal Edd, plain as ever. Yet just seeing him somehow satisfied me.
I smiled a bit and said "Hi." Which he replied with a small 'hello' and stepped over so I could come inside. I took my shoes off next to the door so I didn't get his house dirty, and followed Edd into the living room and sat down. I looked up at the television and saw that he must've been watching the Food Channel before I came over. Edd was being very quiet, I wasn't talking either. But there wasn't an awkward silence, it was a more natural comfortable silence.
I'm not sure to what had happened to Edd while he was gone the past few years, but I think I like this Edd better. Since I've been around the new Edd he just seems better as a person, we get along pretty well, but you could still see the old Edd inside of him. He was new on the outside but still the same old Edd on the inside, not that that's a bad thing. The more I thought about it, the more I enjoy being around him. The more I want to be around him. The more I need to be arou–wait. What am I saying? It's not like I love him or anything. Right? It's just teenage hormones...right?
