Chapter 17

((Quick A/N
OK I haven't been on in SO LONG and I apologize for that but I think we should all celebrate because my book, MY BOOK, has ALMOST 6k READS. MHM. MY BOOK, LIKE WHAT NO IM JUST A LAME PERSON WHO WROTE A FANFIC I'm so happy agh thank you guys soooooooooooo much!! And I promise, fluff and/or yaoi will be coming up soon maybe in this chapter or oncoming chapters, it's been long enough.))

(Edd's POV)
Kevin wasn't really talking much since he got here. I wonder why?

I decided to brake the silence, "So.....what do you wanna do..?" I said sort of awkwardly.

Kevin looked over at me. "You got any video games?"

"Yeah, upstairs" I said, motioning to the stairs. "You wanna go play?" He nodded.

We both got up and I led him upstairs to my room, where I had my Xbox console and my TV. Kevin sat on my bed as I grabbed two controllers and handed him one.

"What game do you wanna play?" I asked, pointing to the different games. He looked them over.

"Doesn't matter. You choose." Well, that sure narrowed it down.

I sighed. "Well, what type of game do you want to play?" He shrugged. "Fine we'll just do this one." I chose a random game without looking and put it in the console.

I set my controller down next to Kevin, "I'm going to go grab a water, do you want something?"

Kevin looked at my controller that I had just set next to him then up at me, "Sure, I'll have a water, too." He said and smiled a bit, his cheeks dusted with pink.

"Alrighty." I said before turning around and walking out of my room, downstairs, and to the kitchen. I grabbed two waters from the fridge and headed back upstairs. When I got back upstairs I handed Kevin a bottle.

"Thanks," He said, "I got the game ready." He pointed to the TV.

"Oh, thanks." I said, grabbing my controller and sitting on the bed next to Kevin.
I clicked 'start game' and the childish music started playing as the screen lit up with Player 1 and Player 2 ready to fight each other.

"You're going down, dork," Kevin snarled.

"Oh yeah? Just watch." I shot back at him. We both started slamming random buttons, triggering attacks to the other player. Bam! One attack. Bam! Another attack. Bam! A critical hit. I won.

I turned to Kevin and stuck my tongue out at him. "Ha ha! I won! You lost! Ha ha!" I said like a small child. "Oh wow, don't you deserve a cookie?" He replied sarcastically, with a slight smirk.

I punched his arm softly, "You just wish you were as good as me."

"I don't need to be as good as you. I bet you I'll win next time, dork." He boasted.

I smirked and pressed 'Play Again' as the same set-up as before came onto the TV. Using my highly professional method, I started pressing random buttons quickly. Bam! One hit! Bam! Another...! Bam! I won, again.

Turning to Kevin, I gave him a 'oh-yeah-who's-the-tough-one-now' look.

He whined, "That's no fair! You're just pressing random buttons without knowing the attacks!" Man, was he childish.

"Oh, shush. Get over it." I grinned.

He tackled me onto the ground and pinned my hands above my head. "Oh yeah? Try escaping now, tough guy." He teased. I squirmed but couldn't break free. His grip on my wrists was too tight.

He leaned down to my ear and whispered, "You may be better than me at video games, but in real life, I would destroy you." Which sent chills down my spine. "Oh yeah? Prove it." I grinned wide as a light blush crept across both of our faces.
