Chapter 14: The Track and Field Tournament part 3

*Huff huff* I'm last place right now. But that's my strategy. Once the race is almost done, I'll sprint as fast as I can and get close to 1st place cause if I just run fast now, I'll just waste my energy for the last lap. The last lap was finally here so as I'm about to sprint, I feel a cold drop on my face. I look up to find that it's raining. It starts to rain even harder and I can't see a thing. Suddenly my foot get's stuck in some wet mud which causes me to loose balance. I fall downwards towards the hill to the rocks. My foot hits one of the rocks really hard because of the impact of the ground.
"OUCH!"
It's even more wet down here because the rain made the dirt all muddy. I try to get up but I couldn't because my foot was hurting. I yell out
"HELP!! SOMEONE!! PLEASE HELP ME!!"
No respond back. (Of course cause I was last place so no one obviously is gonna hear me, there probably all almost done). Suddenly the rain stopped. (At least it stopped raining and I can see better now. I should try to crawl up, I might make it) I grab hold of a branch and try to crawl up towards the hill but I fall back.
"Ahh!"
I sigh and say
"I'm stuck here"
Suddenly I hear leaves ruffle behind me. (Oh gosh! Please don't be a bear. Please don't be a bear. Please don't be a bear!!) I slowly turn around and find the guy from before, the one who I gave my hair tie to.
"Yes! I thought I was gonna be stuck down here"
He come towards me and puts his sweater over me

"...Thank you" I say
"..." He says nothing
"Um how did you hear me?"
"..." He gets up
He's like a cat, he doesn't speak much and seems to be in his own world.
He takes my arm and helps me get up. Suddenly he carries me in his arms like a princess.
"W-woah!" I almost fall since I was surprised by this sudden gesture.
"....Don't move much, you wouldn't want your foot to get worse"
He finally spoke.
"Y-yea sorry"
"..."
He takes a path which brings us back to the top of the hill. He starts to walk towards the track where everyone is.
"What's your name?" I ask.
"...Noah"
"Cool! My name's Indie"
"..."
"Um I'm not too heavy am I?"
"..."
Awe I thought he would speak again. We finally get to the track and everyone seemed to have a worried expression. When they saw me and Noah, there worried expression disappeared. The teachers ran up to us and I explained everything that happened.
"Oh my!" One of the teacher says
"I knew that the woods weren't safe!" Another teacher says
"We're very glad that both of you are safe" The teacher says again.
"It was because of Noah, without him I still would've been in the woods with a broken foot" I say.
The teacher who yelled at Noah before, comes up to us and pats Noah's shoulder and says
"Well done"
Ryan comes running towards us and says
"I'm so glad you're alright! You had me worried! Oh gosh I was about to come into the woods to find you but the teachers wouldn't let me" he has the most worried expression here.
Ryan looks up to Noah who is carrying me and says
"...Who's he?" With a not so happy face.
"He helped me" I say
"Mhm thanks" Ryan says with a pocker face.
"..." Noah is silent again.
Ryan speaks
"Well I'll take her from here on now"
Ryan takes me from Noah's arms and walks away.

"Wait!" I say
I look towards Noah and say
"Thank you so much!" I smile as bright as I could

"..." Silent once again.
I look up to Ryan and he looks mad for some reason.
