Chapter 17 already! Yay! :D

@missFA update is finally here!

Anyway that fine man on the side is our Mason --->

MASON POV

''He's dead.''

Those spoken words from my own mouth haunted me even in my sleep. Do I regret uttering those? No I don't however... It was like a confirmation to me that whatever we had was all gone in the wind, a part of my past that is better off forgotten.

I saw how those two words affected him, how his eyes welled up with tears and how shaken up he was. This is all for the better. I had to held on to my feelings of anger, betrayal and hurt or else my love would never perish.

I admit that by saying those words I wanted him to get hurt. For him to feel even the slightest bit of the pain he had caused me. For him to experience a fraction of the hurt and agony I had gone through.

Does that make me a bad person?

I don't really know but even if it did, I don't or rather I won't care anymore. Just like what I've said, the 'Pierce' that I knew, My Pierce is already dead. The man existing right now is someone who means nothing to me, aside from being my doctor and my...my brother's husband. Yeah, that's how things should be. That's the right thing.

For the past week, my therapy had started. Of course we had to ease my body and started with the therapeutic massage on my lower spine and legs. Dr. Dominic Fernandez mainly handled it hands-on. We went at that until sensations started to come back to my legs. The tingling had increased and even started to feel pains when they tested the pinch gauge on me.

We kept at that slow pace not wanting to over exert my body, but since I had significant improvements, it was decided that we need to focus now on bringing back my legs' strength. So our next sessions will be on the gym.

"Hey Mason.. You get to rest tomorrow so make sure to relax your muscles, so the day after tomorrow you'll be 100% ready on the gym. Understood?" My hyper worried doctor/therapist reminded me as he positioned me on face-flat on the exercise mat.

"Yeah I know already. I'm doing everything as you instructed so hopefully I can walk and be out of here soon." I said smiling, actually expecting him to smile with me, but when he didn't respond, I turned to look at him. He had a melancholic look and a regretful expression.

Noticing my gaze on him, he quickly smiled and said, "Yeah, that'd be nice. You're annoying ass would finally be gone." But his smile didn't quite reach his eyes.

Deciding to just brush off his weird reaction, I decided to tease him. "Eeh? Annoying ass you say? You don't have to hide it. Admit it, you're going to miss this ass. After all, you were always staring at it and even groping it 'accidentally' during massage." His red as a tomato face cracked me up and had me laughing my ass off.

Nico's reactions are priceless to say the least. Yep, I just called him 'Nico'. For the past week, we bonded and our friendship became deeper. We're much closer now, hence, my calling him Nico. Of course the stubborn man refused at first, he wanted to be called Dom or Dominic. And of course with me being hard-headed, I didn't listen to him. I wanted something unique or original and I guess in that area, Matthew and I are the same, in which Nico pointed out. When I suggested the nickname, he threw a fit but didn't win our argument so he begrudgingly conceded defeat.
