♡Jennings♡
I quietly step into the house and Chandler closes the door behind me. "You can go sit on the couch. I'll get some drinks." He says. I head to the living room and sit on the couch.
He came back with two glasses of what looked like water. He set on in front of me on the coffee table and sat down beside me. "So why are you selling tickets?" He asks trying to make small talk. "Um.. It's for a fundraiser." I say. "Cool, I guess." He says awkwardly. I start to get really hot because of how nervous am. "Yeah. It's okay. Anyway.. Why did you invite me in?" I ask. "I just wanted to talk to you. That's all." He says. "What do you wanna talk about?" I say. I'm honestly surprised that I haven't stuttered for the last 5 minutes.
"Can we play truth or dare?" He asks smirking. "I don't think that's a good idea." I say quietly. "Come on, it'll be fun." He says. "I don't.. Okay." I sigh reluctantly. He cheers at my approval. "K. I'll go first. Truth or Dare?" He says. "Truth." I say. "Wow, okay. Who was your first kiss?" He asks. "Makayla. Your turn. Truth or Dare?" I say quickly. "Dare." He says. "I dare you to call the pizza place and order 300 pineapple pizzas." I say. He gets up to grab his phone from where he left it in the kitchen.
"Hello? Yes, can I have 300 pineapple pizzas please?... Yes. That's all. Thank you." He says after hanging up. "While we wait.. Truth or Dare?" He says."Dare." I say confidently. "Brave." He hums. "I dare you to kiss me." He says. I stare at him like he's crazy. My mind must be playing tricks on me. "Hello? Jennings? Did you hear me?" He asks snapping me out of my trance. "What? I'm sorry what did you say?" I ask. "I said I dare you to kiss me." He repeats. "I'm not sure of what to do.." I say. "Just follow my lead." He says.
He leans toward me until our lips are a mere centimeter apart. I lean in the rest of the way. Our lips connect like two magnets and sparks fly all around us. It feels as if nothing else in the world matters. The simple kiss soon leads to shirts being thrown across the room and a huge make out session."HELLO?!" We break apart, blushing, as we hear someone knocking on the door. Chandler gets up and rushes toward the door. He opens it and from the living room, I can hear the pizza man say "That'll be $600, sir." I feel bad that I made him order all those pizzas. I walk up behind Chandler to see a huge truck with Chuck's Pizzeria plastered on the side of it. Chandler hands the pizza guy 6 $100 bills before seven different workers come inside with loads of pizzas in their arms. It took about 30 minutes before all of the pizzas were in the house. "I don't know what I'm gonna do with this, babe." He says sighing. I blush at his endearment. "We can eat some together and then you can save the rest for your party." I say as a suggestion. "A bunch of drunk teenagers won't care about the pizza. They'll only care about the music and the drinks." He says. "Well maybe we can go give them to homeless people. This is California. I'm sure we can find someone." I say. "Okay. I like that idea." He says. I start grabbing boxes of pizza and bringing them out to my car until the back of it is filled to the brim with pizza. Chandler comes out of the house with more pizzas in his hand and slides them in the trunk.
"Let's go babe." He says kissing my cheek as he walks around the side of the car to get to the passenger seat. I slide into the drivers seat with my face still red. I fumble with the keys a little before I hear the engine roar as it comes to life. I drive down the street until we reach the park. "Let's get out here. I know someone who will need this." I say. "Alright. I'll grab the pizza." He says. He steps out of the car and goes back to the trunk of the car and grabs 5 boxes of pizza. He follows me as I walk along the familiar bridge. I see Ray, a friend of mine, sitting at the base of a tree. "How you doing, Ray?" I say as we reach him. "I'm okay. Same as always. Hungry. Thirsty." He says without looking up. "Well, we brought these for you." Chandler says. Ray looks up at him and sees the boxes of pizza in his hand. "T-t-those are for me?" He asks. "All yours, buddy." I say. "Why?" He asks. "We just wanted to help you out." Chandler says handing the boxes to Ray. "Thank you so much!" He says. I pull him in for a hug. "No problem, man." I say. "We should get going but you take care okay?" I say. "Sure thing. Come visit again soon, J." He says. "I promise." I say with a smile.
This is how our trip went. It was just us driving peacefully as we delivered pizzas to different people along the streets. We were driving back to Chandler's house now. "We still have like 15 pizzas." He says. "I know, but I think we can do it." I say laughing. "I like your laugh." He says while laying his hand on my thigh. We ride in silence, me blushing the entire time, until we got to his house. As we entered the house, I noticed that it smelled like drugs. "What's that smell?" I ask Chan. "That's my dad." He says. He quickly grabs the remaining pizza we left and pulls me back toward the door. "What are you doing?" I ask him. "Can we go to your house?" He asks. "Yeah." I reply confused as to why he wanted to leave so quickly. "I really don't understand why we had to leave so early.." I say. He lays his hand on my thigh and squeezes. "I'll tell you when we get to your house, baby." He says making my heart flutter.End of chapter! Maybe if someone.. "Marah" didn't rush me I could write longer chapters like this.
