"JENNINGS!", I heard my "girlfriend", Makayla yell. Makayla Hemmings had been posing as my girlfriend for the past year now. She's my best friend and the only person that knows about my secret.
"Yeah?" I ask quietly when she gets closer. "Chandler is coming over to talk to you. I heard him talking to Marah." She whispers as Marah and Chandler start to walk towards us.
"Hey, just the person I wanted to see." Chandler says with a smirk on his face. "W-w-what do you n-need?" I murmur. "My girlfriend wanted me to invite you to our party Saturday night." He says. "Thanks but we have plans." Makayla interfered.
     It stung when Chandler called Marah his girlfriend. "What could possibly be better than going to our party?" He asks with a smirk. "It's our anniversary." Makayla answered quickly.
     "Well, let's go Mar. We wouldn't want to interrupt their little plans." He said chuckling. I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding as they walked away. "Thank you." I whispered in Makayla's ear while I hugged her. "No problem. What are we gonna do for our anniversary though?" She asks me. I honestly owed her one for saving me so many times. Whenever I'm around him I get nervous and never know what to say. I leaned down to kiss Makayla's cheek to thank her for being so good to me.
     "Let's get to class so that we aren't late." I say to her before rushing down the halls. "WAIT! Jennings! Did you forget our anniversary?" I hear her call out from a few feet behind me. I knew she would never let this "anniversary" thing.
     I stopped walking and turned around only for her to bump into my chest. "If you stop talking about this "anniversary", I'll buy you 5 Seconds of Summer's latest album." I say hoping to shut her up. "And..?" She pushes on. "I'll take you to Hot Topic so that you can buy all the merch you want." I say sighing.
     "Aw! You're so sweet! I would've been fine with Netflix and McDonald's though." She says before running a toward our 3rd period.

     I don't know why I pick on Jennings. I've been trying to avoid him at all costs. I've been so confused about my sexuality lately that I have no idea what to do with myself. I've been using Marah as a distraction so that I won't lean back towards the drugs and alcohol.
     We invited Jennings and his girlfriend to our party but they turned us down. I was kind of hoping that they would agree so that I could see him again. I hate that little girlfriend of his. She makes things so difficult.
     "Chan? You okay?" Marah asks bringing me out of my thought. "Yeah. I'm fine." I say. "Are you sure?" She asks. "Yeah. I'm just gonna go home I'm not really feeling school today." I
say. "Okay, but don't get caught." she says. "I never do." I reply cockily.
