How it began

Part 3

2 weeks. It's been a total of 2 weeks since I told Bryson that I loved him. Since then, all I've been doing is packing. I leave to New York a week from now, & honestly the only person I've been thinking about is Bryson. Annoying, idiotic, charming, sweet, Bryson. Oh god, I need to move on.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

"Hello?" I answered.

"Addy? Wait ! Before you hang up, can we please meet up so we can talk? " Bryson begged.

"No, Brys. I don't have time."

He chuckled, " You've always been stubborn. "

Physically rolling my eyes I replied, " Yeah, you're one to talk. "

"Please, Addy. "

I mean, I do miss him. What's the harm in just talking, right?

" ugh, fine! " I groaned.

8:00 sharp, just like we planned.

Since Bryson was taking to long, I got up and ordered myself a coffee and sat back down. Soon after, there was an aroma of peppermint spice and I knew exactly who it was.

"Hey, sorry I was late, had to help my mom with a few things." He tried to tell me.

"Yeah, okay." Was what I settled with.

After he ordered his coffee, he finally spoke.

"Look, you know you're my best friend, but I've been seeing someone. That day, when you told me... What you told me.. I couldn't tell you. You poured all that informat-"

"Is that what it was to you? Information? " I said with a hint of annoyance.

"Yeah, that came out wrong, didn't it. But I didn't mean it like that. I meant-"

"No, I know exactly what you meant Brys! You know what? I'm out of here, asshole." I threw myself back and walked out of the cafe.

"Wait! Addy! " he yelled trying to catch up with me. Eventually, he got ahold of my shoulder and twisted me around so that I was looking up at him.

"Addy! Please don't be mad. I'll always love y-"

Shutting my eyes, I replied "Don't say it. Just don't. I won't be able to handle hearing you say that." I felt weak. Completely weak. I could feel the tears just urging to spill down. He couldn't see me cry after all this, so I did the thing I do best, I just walked away.
