He did hope and wished that her positivity that night would stay longer than he expected but like she once said to him, not everything we wish for could come true.

As always, she would try to distance herself further and further away from him. It's been a thing she's been doing for quite awhile. At first he never understood why she would do such.

But after a bit of excessive, well more like stalking he came to know the answer. She had been digging up the past.

The past where people would question her, condemned her, talk shit because her. Just on the sole fact she was friends with him. On the fact she was close to him.

"Why do you keep on running away from me? Don't you care for me anymore?"

"You know well that it's better that I keep a distance from you."

"Distance will only make us drift away. And in the end we'll probably be drowned into history."

"That's the idea."

"But I don't want that to be the end of us."

"It's not about what you want anymore Jongdae. The people around us decides everything for us."

"Since when you care so much about what they say?"

"Since I don't want you to end up in misery."
